heh, I breifly heard bout this yesterday, but didnt take much notice.... I'm running AVG too, and I havnt had any probs either, AVG gets 10/10 from me and best of all it's free! :)

i use kazaa for older films, recent'er' versions of kazaa lite have a little util with it called avi preview - right click your download and find it, it'll show you what youve downloaded. i use emule for xbox stuff and the odd rare file and lastly Bittorrent for the latest stuff. All in all im maxing my connection out 24/7. :) (512kbit adsl)

heh, me and a mate in brighton organised a VW meet-up in brighton with the porka guys, (i had a gti then), they are nice lads, and as said before, the G40's are bloody quick... and as said in that post, 170bhp at 800KG's ... thats more bhp/tonne than a stock 300zx twin turbo :P but in reality they are (well, the mark with the g40 in the lineup) are the ugliest boxiest shitters out there imo!

I couldnt find this Z on ebay (completed items).

I owned a probe before deciding to get a Z (still havnt got one though), and the reason I chose the probe over other cars in my budget (2k ish, so calibras, old celicas etc) is because it is a bit rarer and understated. I loved my probe to bits, they are very good cars to drive, the comfort level and quality is definately far above usual ford levels, and its got a mazda engine/internals instead of a ford one. I had countless people ask me what it was too, I debadged mine and had 18" rims on it, and it looked like it had come out of the factory like it. The reason im going for a Z next is for the same reasons, and obviously for alot more power. I have said to my mates about it and they are like "naa they are ugly and slow". The first statement I couldnt belive, (I think they look georgeous!), and the second, slow, well I thought that too before I started thinking about them a bit more. I always considered them to be slow simply cos they are big (although they arent, they just look it, my probe was actually bigger dimensions wise), and didnt really know anything about them. For some reason certain cars have stigmas that they cant shake off. The probe is considered a **** american car, and I think that is mainly due to the crappy whalnut whip style alloys you get on the 16v, and the name. The 300zx, not sure, but having said about them to people they all come up with the same "looks poo, and they are slow". Kids who drive nova's who know about skylines and supras know about them for one reason. a film called "the fast and the furious". Without that film the supra would still be exclusive-ish, and the skyline would still be unheard of at large. I remember before the film come out, like a few years before, and supra's were rare, as were skylines. since then, I see supras at least 3 times daily doing a 1 mile drive lol. Skylines... well, I see alot more standard r33's on the road than before. Imagine if the 300zx was in that film... I think there would be alot more on imported and on the road, and nova boys would know about em! Personally, I like the fact the 300zx is a bit of a sleeper. I also think its a shame that the car makes few appearances at rwyb's etc (from what I've seen/read). yadayada :P

IMO, in the time of the internet, the power of the people etc - I see no reason why decision on speed limits etc cannot be brought to light on the net. You should be able to make your point about a speed limit on a certain road, and given enough complaints about the same road a 'hearing' would be brought into play and local people can then decide the speed limit they want, set for 5 years (no further hearings upon complaints). Motorways need a change, the overtaking lanes (all but the left one?) should be increased to 'upto' 90mph for overtaking only. Use of the left hand lane should be left at 70mph for safety reasons (or variable depending on time of day). Perhaps there should also be a class system whereby cars are classed upon power/ncap rating/age whereby you are permitted to drive faster on wide motorways. There's loads that can be done, and now that they are generating so much money out of us they cannot say that it would cost 'too much' to impliment.

I cant actually recall any that stick out, but I think the 300zx tt advert was pretty good for its time.

350z curb weight is 1.41 tonnes and the 300zx is 1.54 ...

The top gear thing was a farce though, you can hardly claim the 300zx tt is 'faster' based on that! ONE 1/5 mile 'race' ? driving error could of been the deciding factor there, and im sure the 350z would of pulled past the 300zx at 1/4 mile as it started gaining toward the end. Anyone know of plans of a 350z twin turbo ? :)

Yea ive got 1 more year till my 5 years are up for an SP30 and SP60, I dont know how much they have ended up costing me, but I lost my job because of them, so quite a bit!

a friend of mine is 30, fully comp on an astra coupe turbo. He has been with Direct line for 2 weeks, then the other day he got an NIP through for 34 in a 30, he paid it etc, then told direct line... They told him he had to pay an extra £78 on top of 524. My understanding was that your first 3 points shouldnt affect your premium, and even if it is up to the inurers, an extra £78 ? thats very steep! Like a muppet hes paid up etc, and having a winge, but its a bit worrying that they think they can do this?
