Downloading Kill Bill Vol. 2 at the moment but is there anyway of getting things to speed up a bit or does just depend on the download you select?

 

At this rate it looks like taking a couple of days FFS!

 

I'm on an ADSL 100 BT broadband connection so I would've thought downloading a movie would be a tad speedier.

If you have a firewall set up make sure the right ports get through to your computer. Otherwise you can only transfer with people who are not behind firewalls, and it really slows things down a hell of a lot.

Big thanks, download speed is now more around the 30kbps mark now where before it was running at around 3!

also make sure you are not running as a super node......you really should use emule for films as you can preview them and get peoples comments off them whereas you could spend days downloading from kazzaa and it may not even be the film

also right click the downloading file and select 'find more sources' then you will get multiple download sources for one file. :)

 

I'm trying like buggery to get Shogun Assassin. Haven't seen it for years but KBV2 rekindled my love of it :D

srrae is correct for most p2p networks, but on kazaa ive never found it to be a problem

 

i use http://www.emule.com at the moment, its slower but the content is more likely to be as advertised rather than a weird french movie :D

i use kazaa for older films, recent'er' versions of kazaa lite have a little util with it called avi preview - right click your download and find it, it'll show you what youve downloaded.

 

i use emule for xbox stuff and the odd rare file and lastly Bittorrent for the latest stuff.

 

All in all im maxing my connection out 24/7. :) (512kbit adsl)
