IAA Valve (still looking for answers..?)
dont change it just yet there should be voltages which you can test at certain temps to check it before forking out for another.

IAA Valve (still looking for answers..?)
did you disconnect the battery to let the ecu clear ? mine did this but it did settle after a while. another idea have you ever replaced the water temp sensor? might be sending the wrong signal to the ecu and its still running warm up settings hence increased idle

that should be fine as long as the tool isnt hanging too far out of the collet.

how many cutting edges (flutes) does the cutter have? the more the better to stop snagging. conventional mill it rather then climb mill it, climb milling will gather speed in cast iron causing it to snag..
-
FAO Hellraiser
if its solid...... but just take the edge off the tool. dont climb mill it with a sharp cutter it will try and pull you in.
-
FAO Hellraiser
out of curiosity what milling machine are you using ? collet type? number of flutes on the cutter? rpm your currently machining at? feed? if your dwelling to much it will also burn out the cutter. if you only have hss cutters add a drop of oil to cool the tool edge but it will get smoky....
