  1. and nas had 30 mm thick 280 mm discs as the tts apart from 89-90 na's ;) his is a 96 spec:tongue:
  2. hahahaaha poor ol ian you can't help being stumpy! with an answer to your question tho how big is your amp? behind the passenger side rear seat panel there is enough room to hide a medium sized amp with a bit of ingenious fixing points.
  3. um not sure the ring gear should be the same diameter i should imagine? that would be great stu cheers mate gaz im the mean time anybody with a tt manual flywheel able to measure the diameter for me please?
  4. OH look at me asking all the questions today. can some bright spark tell me the correct overall diameters of the tt flywheel and the na one( can do the na one tomorrow but deffo need the tt one) pretty please cheers gaz
  5. lol all the best buddy. can't believe the damage on the sump. one fooked engine!
  6. looking at it, it looks as if that engine has gone across the gobi desert!!!!
  7. just read an article and it states that a tt sp and na sp have one little difference the spot where the starter motor mounts on the bell housing . the tt is machined a little differently so that the starter will properly engage the slightly larger flywheel. you can use the tt in an na but you would either have to grind down where the starter mounts so it can engage the fly or use the tt flywheel. changing the flywheel is not an option as i have a fidenza light weight one. tbh i have a na gearbox and i could swap bellhousings over its just that i really dont want to split my new gearbox , sealing it back up could be an arse! may go down the skim the starter or bellhousing route!
  8. thing is they would have fitted a tt flywheel and clutch too. im on about fitting a tt box to a non turbo flywheel and engine.
  9. just need to choose weather you want cast iron or aluminium ones ;)
  10. on a 96 na the tt calipers are the same as na ones. it was only early na's that had 26mm discs and calipers where as the later na's and tt's are both 30 mm discs and calipers.
  11. I thought that but the face where the starter bolts on to the centre of the input shaft measure the same. Are you sure the starters are not different sizes to account for the fly?
  12. No thats done by the diff. Hence why tt boys do na diff conversions
  13. Will a tt manual box fit a non turbo manual engine without the need to swap anything over?
  14. Happy birthday mike. Hope you have a great day:duffer::duffer::duffer:
  15. sorry to hear of the damage brian but ROTFPMSL!!! tit!:slap:
  16. nice tidy z you have there mate :) wasn't you tho ;)
  17. i used hammerite smooth gold spray paint on mine.
  18. caz saw you on her way back from picking up my gearbox for the z (she's a good gal 250 mile round trip ) tell she loves the car as much as I. anyway black tt m25 approx 4pm reg G767 wgx caz was the dodgy looking bird in the battered green clio looking gormless at you like an impression of the exorcist (her words not mine!!!)
  19. I won last time. Now lets see. Double din centre console?
  20. thanks jeff that good for piece of mind. i only checked the first front one so will check the ones under the balance bar to make sure they have all been changed. cheers gaz
  21. boss fitted wrongly probably. the tag that flicks off the indicator not aligned up. take boss off and reset first :)
  22. they rust :D only joking welcome aboard mate :)
  23. would there be a problem using these plugs in a non turbo z. im looking at changing the plugs for when i get the z back on the road and have noticed that it currently has pfr6b-11c's in there. would i get more benefit from using a dedicated plug for the na??
  24. alreeight ther mate there you know!
  25. perhaps a drug smuggling truck spilt some of its load in the early hours and the club revellers cleaned it all up before morning:) did you touch it was it cold?
