speed sensor or speed convertor problem
  5. if there arnt any up in a while il scan my stillen ones for you guys
  6. if your seatbelts go slack then they are not working properly. mine used to work as tho they had just come out of the factory, nice and taught with instant retraction. Also whenever you slammed on the breaks the seat belt would automatically lock before you even moved forward with the momentum. But i took my door card off to fix a bit of trim and now it dont work properly :(

  10. Took the car for a spin this afternoon for the first time in months! It started up first time and apart from the noisey lifters which soon disappeared (as usual when cars been sitting for so long) it runs perfectly. Speedo doesn't work because of a dodgy speed sensor but it was like that before all the work was done so no surprise. Non of new belts screeched, don't know if thats a good thing. For some reason now though its idling at 1200rpm even though it idled perfectly at 700ish for first 10-15 mins  A list of all the work done... Just need to get rear arms fitted and 4 wheel alignment done to finish off the suspension YAS
  11. car idled fine for the first ten minutes after it warmed up but then switched off and on and it wont go under a very steady 1200rpm. what should i check?
  12. been looking at that for a while but don't see the point until i have an uprated box. im sure at least one person here used to have the old version with buttons on the steering wheel
  13. cheers jeff, see you tuesday :)
  14. Would have finished the car off tonight but ran out of hose to plumb the 'box oil cooler. Should be drivable tomorrow unless i've made a major cock up and forgotten something :x: Wish me luck! :hyper:
  15. are they the same thing? Yas
  16. no bud, its stock, attaches to the inside of the front bumper. il try and get a pic for you later if it stops raining
  17. sorted it tony thanks, the ac belt was too long so i just went to a motor factor and bought the next size up from what i had for the PS, used a 4PK900
  18. splash guards are a massive help, i had a HKS mushroom filter (foam one) on my old car and never ever had a problem in the wet
  19. as long as you have the splash guard behind the bumper and your headlamp panel isnt vented (or is covered from inside) you wont have a problem with anything
  20. thanks tony, iv got UR pulley set going on and i cant get the belt on with both the PS pulley and crank pulley fitted, it seems way out. on the belt it says Nissan A172M-59SSA-VW 4PK880 iv stripped out my AC and the belt for that is slightly longer, can i just use that???
