  9. Dewi, You can send a bumper by Royal Mail normal parcel service, it'll cost you about a tenner. Vijay
  10. Hello Pete, That's a fair enough point but I am pretty handy. Built the last half of a loft conversion and done the electrics and plumbing, fitted a bathrom, kitchen and just buit a big garage. I really appreciate the help and advice :) Vijay
  11. Cheers guys for all your help (apart from Chris C:D ). Vijay
  12. Hello Pete, And there was me thinking an easy job :( An electrician friend done the complete house 10 years ago and I've no idea how he done the wiring to the garage but I'm sure it would be a good safe job. The garage is about 5 metres away from the fuse box. Is there no safe way of jointing the cable........................... Vijay
  13. Hello Tony, This might help - http://www.300zx-mods.co.uk/BOVS.htm Vijay
  14. cheers Chris:D Pete, The old garage is being knocked down. What I want to do is break the concrete in the old garage where the cable comes through, extend that wire, then lay it in the new concrete floor (which is to be laid) so it comes in through what will be the new garage floor. Sorry if I haven't made it clear but the old and new garage are not in the same location. Vijay
  15. I'm finishing up my new garage and need to extend the electrics in to the new garage. At the moment in comes in through the concrete floor of my old garage, through a metal conduit pipe and into a junction/fuse box where it's split for the electics and lighting circuits. What's the best way of extending the cable and running it through the concrete into the new garage? Cheers Vijay
  16. Cheers Lynda, We'll wait for full details. Vijay
  17. Hi Justin, They only declare it if asked and then you would just bring the value right down ;) Vijay
  18. Hi Jeff, Well they've sent me a form that has to be filled in and yours would go well with it. How much and how do I go abouts getting it? Cheers Vijay
  19. did he give you a valuation on your car Deon? Vijay
  20. The problem is mine is modded - bodywise and engine wise. If Chris got that sort of answer from the ZClub, then I would imagine I'd get the same. I would imagine AA/RAC would look at the market value but I'm pretty much in the same boat as Chris, bought it for a lot more and then spent some:rolleyes: Vijay
  21. Hello Stuart, I'm not a member of the ZClub. Vijay
  22. I don't think you can sent it as a gift and get away with it anymore. You're supposed to pay tax on anything over £36 (I think, it's something low anyways) even if it's a gift. You could ask the sender to lower the value on the paperwork they send but if it gets lost, you wouldn't be insured for the full value. Your best bet would be to get it brought over, that's what my brother does for me when he visits :) Vijay
  23. I just insured through Norton on a classic policy but the thing is they want a valuation for an agreed value. Does anyone have any suggestion how/where I can get this done? Cheers Vijay
