  1. I love that we don't give up on our cars - they're more than just a car to us it seams :) I'm hoping mine is starting to come together and yes back on the road next year.........................

  3. You've made my day!!! lol
  4. Of having my car off the road the longest? 6 years today!!!! lol Sometimes I just can't believe I haven't broken and scrapped the car after the absolute nightmare I've had with people working on my car - But I'm glad I haven't cos I still look at it and think what a beautiful car and think once it's back on the road, it'll all be worth it........................... I owe a ton of grattitude to the guys at Custom Exotics for what they've done and allowing my car to be in their workshop while I've worked on it. I 100% know my car wouldn't be still around if it wasn't for them them!!!!
  5. A while is an understatement!! lol Can't remember the name but I was just gonna use high temp can stuff but he had some stuff he's used on exhausts and brakes that was applied by gun. Can ask on Monday.
  6. Go with 25% and then any less is a bonus ;)
  7. Sadly my exhaust had seen better days from my car not being used, started getting a few rust spots. The middle pipes had rusted at the joins but I had a spare stock one. I didn't want to change the back boxes as I've always loved the note - just loud enough to not be heard in the car :) So decided to strip them, rust treat them and then the boys at Custom Exotics welded up and patched the bad bits and then gave them a protective coat of a high temperature paint they use. Also a massive thanks to them for all the P** taking for the days I spent polishing the exhaust tips!!! lol From this:
  8. So could I use some sort of spring to return the piston? Or possibly use the second one to push the first piston back (by using a 3 way valve)?
  9. Hello mate, But can a single action ram be converted in any way? I went to a hydraulics place today and they were less than useless :(
  10. Hi, I've got a 12v hydraulic pump and pistons off a wheelchair lift. At present, the hydraulics would push out the pistons and then a solenoid would allow the fluid to go back into the reservoir when the lift would lower by weight/gravity. Is there's any way I could convert it so I can control the pistons to go both in and out via hydraulics? The top hose attached to the pistons just went into the top of the reservoir pot but could this be used to push the piston back in? Cheers Vijay
  11. Only met him once, really nice guy. Wishing him luck :)
  12. Cheers guys :)
  13. Hi, I'm trying to repair a single electric hob and it looks like what I think might be a diode has gone. It's got the following written on it: Ande RY 135 Tf 185C 250V 10A I've done a google search and not found too much about it and no suppliers. Has anyone any idea if there is a replacement I could use? Cheers Vijay
  14. If you're looking for all the water pipes under the plenum, I have a set of OEM ones for sale
  15. I assume you're attempting to spray it yourself???
  16. Exactly what he said!! lol Could easily be as simply as the coilpack connector has worked loose (if the clips are broken). Vijay
  17. Hello mate, If you're ever in NW London, I'll gladly swap the coilpacks/plugs over for you. Vijay
  18. Yes bud, that's them in Harlow - and obviously I'm more than happy to take your Z there for you as I'm up there quite a bit these days ;)
  19. Hello mate, I can highly recommend Brett at Custom Exotics if you need an alarm fitted? Or is there something else you need done to your Z? Vijay
  20. well I would ask them for it in writing (if possible) exactly what they intend to do and then do some research. Trust me, you can't trust a lot of places as they are a ll talk :( and also what warranty they offer
  21. Hi, I'd be having a conversation with the bodyshop and ask exactly what they intend to do. I'm paying the price now for a bodyshop who told me they were rustproofing my car and so obviously didn't :( Vijay
  22. They are a pain in the backside for anyone! lol You just have to keep wigglilng them into place carefully from what i remember :( Vijay
