  2. Ended up doing a format and re-install. Now can't get the laptop to connect to the router :( Should the IP addresses and subnet mask be the same (apart from the last digit)?
  3. I wouldn't put my head under there with any jack but it's an easy way of getting it up on stands :)
  4. That's where I saw them first ;) It cost £52 inc carriage but that came with one of those electric impact wrenches too. Seems good value :) Vijay
  5. 9psi is stock. Do you have any other mod?
  6. Hi, Just thought I'd pass this on. I bought an electric 2 ton scissor jack off ebay and to my supprise I'm quite impressed with it. It'll fit under a 12cm sill so is no problem for a standard Z. I still haven't got my Z back so can't say if it'll get under a lowered Z but I'm hoping it'll get under the front of the car. It rises to 35cm so had a side up in the air no probs (both wheels). Takes just over a minute to get from min to max and is remote control which is pretty cool :hyper: I've asked if they can get any more if anyone is intrested :) Vijay
  7. If that's the case mate, PM me your address and I'll sort one out for you :) Vijay
  8. Shrek, more than likely caused by the bolt stripping the housing, happened to mine. Just tapped a new hole and put a larger bolt :)
  9. just tried it, get this error. Thinkong of formatting the laptop soon :(

  11. Wasn't there something about the SPL ones using better bearings or something? Sure Smithy said something like that? Vijay

  18. the only firewall on the PC is the windows one which is set to off. For some reason though, it's not allowing me to turn it on at all, would that suggest a problem with the firewall?? Vijay
  19. Both machines are running XP. Just allowed sharing on C drive of the laptop, PC still can't see the laptop files :(
  20. Think I've found the problem. The laptop can see the PC's shared files but the PC cannot see the laptops. I've called Belkin who said I had to enable the lan on my pc but I told them it was already on as it is connected to the modem router by the lan port :( Any ideas on this???
  21. Hello bud, I've set the option on the laptop to share printer and then searched for the printer on the PC, it sees the network (I think) but not the printer :(

  23. Hi, Trying to get a printer to work via a wireless network but it just won't see it :( My PC is connected to a wireless modem router with a cable. The printer is attached to the laptop upstairs with a parallel cable. The laptop is connected to the Network. So far this is what I've tried: The printer prints fine from the laptop and I've set the option to share the printer on a network. I've then used the printers and faxes options in control panel where I've tried to add a printer. There are 2 options which you can see in the attachment. I don't understand the bit on there that says "To set up a network printer that is not attached to a print server, use the "local printer" option. From this point, what ever option I choose, I can't get it to see the printer :( Any ideas??? Cheers Vijay
