Went to college with a guy who was planing doors insitu, wearing shorts. As he bought the planer to the btm of the door he ''accidentally'' rested it on his leg! OUCH! Saw the scars too, bloody awful! But he was an australian! Having gone from chippying to window fitting, my fave tool has to be a recip saw/cordless drill.

Hello Simon...Very interesting reading! My twin turbo z is currently running Magnatec oil, it's due an oil change very soon (every 5k km's). The car has 55k miles, running 12.5 psi, ECU chip/jets, pipe and filter. It's mainly used as a weekend car. It idles for at least 10mins before i drive it from cold (I never liked the neighbours anyway!), and is never booted until properly warmed up. I've heard pro's & cons regarding Magnatec, having read your comments on it, i'm considering another oil next time! Silkolene seems to come highly recommended, however, i've never seen it in the shops? I've had 1st hand experience of silkolene, while racing motocross (pro comp), it's excellent stuff, always burned really clean, no sticky rings etc (ooh err!). Where can i get silkolene from, any mail order suppliers? (Group buy?). Cheerz..............Simon. :)

Hope it pans out ok for you mate, i've heard stories of auto boxes costing 1.5-2k to replace! If mine ever goes (touch wood!), i will have the z-world manual conversion done...£1500 all in!! Gotta be worth thinking about?

Most of the faults i've encountered are just corroded electrical connectors, easy to fix, but sometimes hard to find/diagnose! If you're serious about buying a Z, either buy one through here, or find someone on here in your area who has a conzult. Get 'em to come with you :duffer: :duffer: , and check the car over for you.
