hey guys... is it true the bookies wont let you place a bet on a white christmas this year? I asked a mate to boot a bet on for me 3 weeks ago, but he didn't. Have asked another one to put 20 quid on but im now hearing rumour that this year they wont let you place the bet coz the odds are stacked against them :( is that true? It still has to lay on the met tower on 25th dec to be classed as a white christmas yes>? (legally speaking betting wise lol) Of course..... if we come back to see a white christmas... I'll be calling that a win what ever way you look at it priceless :D

glad i found this thread coming back to the UK for hols in Dec and will be driving my dads car around just assumed my licence would be valid as uk licences dont expire thansk to this thread I know it IS still valid, but only until 2010 dont forget, you NEED to renew your card when you move house too....... which is why mine is still valid as we had them changed to my parents address before moving to Oz when you do change your address you should get a new card too (we did) with a new 10 year period on it. over here in Oz, we have to renew them every 1 year or 3 years or 6....(or something... can't rememeber lol) but you DO get a reminder in the post so there is no excuse over here and the exipiry is CLEARLY marked as just that, an expiry date... not "item 4b" lol

yes so long as its MP11 or above I used to share with my Xbox360 and now do with my PS3 to answer your question... you say you've installed a Wireless Router on your PC? Do you mean, you have a wireless router and both your PC and your Xbox360 are connecting to it wirelessly? Or do you mean the PC is plugged into it via the ethernet cable, and the Xbox360 is looking at it wirelessly? if it is the latter, you will probably find that your wired lan, and your wireless lan are on diferent IP ranges, and THIS will cause you issues Id check the firewall also. way to test if your setup is the latter, is connect a laptop to your wireless, do an IP config on both your PC and the laptop, and see what IP addresses you get. This is my home lan (xbox360 now replaced with Ps3 due to RRoD) All divices on the wired part of the lan can see eath other fine, but any devices connected to the wireless router can NOT see the devices on the wired side due to the diferent IP address ranges. Now i could fix that, but I can't be arsed as this way, my home lan is secure, even if someone hacks my wireless AP and uses my internet, my other devices are safe.

if it boots in safe mode, can'y you do a system restore to before you installed SP1? that would be my first try I've got a Dell Lappy with only 2 GB RAM but vista's been good to me so far (about 2 months now). Been using the machine for Vid editing too not installed SP1 though I dont think, unless mine came with it given it was pretty new. but yeah, system restore to before the SP1 install would be the first thing I'd try.

Hi again guys, from Sunny Perth, Australia (well, not so sunny at the mo but let's not go there) I fly out from Perth on the 13th Dec, and will be in the UK for 4 weeks ish. If i can, I'd love to catch up with a UK club meet and/or cruise I'll be in Kent most of the time, BUT also in Birmingham for the latter part of the first week of my hols, into the weekend. Then back to kent then possibly to Sommerset (chedder) for a day or 2 after new year... possibly if those movements fit in with any club meet, and I can make it, it would be awsome ill bring the vid cam :D cheers guys

Just posting a refresher "hello" Not long now. Month and a bit, and I'll be in Sunny....ok Chritsmasy England AND I CAN"T WAIT :D Christmas in the Sun by the pool is all good, but I miss the traditinoal feeling I grew up with. Dark, Cold, but TOTALLY overdone with shopping and lights and presents and family and and and I can only guess UK malls are already full of Christmas stuff. not so much over here. It's all a little too "quick" over here. Lots of planning of what I'll be doing in the UK but Like i said before, wouldn't mind bumping into some UK Zed crew. if there's a South East Event planned (or London or whatever) between Mid Dec and Mid Jan, PLEASE let me know. Im sure not going to plan the whole family holiday around it, but if I can squeeze it in, I will be doing that for sure. Hope to meet some of you soon. Get the cider ready :D chris.

Like i said, dont know much about what he's got into., Just that its a V6. He didn't think it was a turbo, and then said its got an "intercooler" lol ;) He described it to me and its location, and im suspecting its actually the oil cooler hehe So yeah.... he needs help ;)

Got a good mate in the UK who;s just happily purchased a 1999 model Mitsi Galant Said it goes friggin hard (keeping in mind his previouse car was an 1.6 Ltr Audi A4) Trying to get info from him but he's not up on car stuff so he's going to send me some engine bay pics. Anyway........... Just wondered if anyone knew of a good forum/club I could point him towards? Could be mormons, JW's or normal christians. Some normal churches practice this. But more JW's and Mormans do it as they both feel they have to "earn" thier way into heaven and this is one way they try and do that. Normal Christians dont feel they have to earn thier way in but practice it to try and "save" more people. Back on/off topic... when i was shopping for a Zed, I almost didn't buy one but was "tempted" by a black Corvette instead. It looked awsome. The online add "The Devil Himself would drive this car" lol nice.

yeah he'd drive one. He warned me to not jump into one and made me get a 180sx first so i could get used to turbo boost after lag without dying Then when i was ready... he made me sell the 180sx and buy a 300ZX TT Then... even though i live in Perth... tonight on the way home he blessed me with friggin cold air, so boosted kicked in, i lost traction, and left my boss behind me in a cloud of smoke. I am saved :D

i have an Xbox 360 but recently borrows my mates PS3 for 2 weeks. Games I would highly recommend (on either format those that are on both) Burnout Paradise City (Very diferent from previouse Burnout games. Think Burnout, fused with NFSU2) Call Of Deuty 4 "Modern Combat" (Simply friggin awsome on and offline. Ive heard single player is a bit short but thats what Multiplayer is for ;) ) GT5 Prolouge Heavnly Sword (chick with a sword. Random slashing and bashing. And VERY nice use of the motion sensor during some bits of gameplay) Motorstorm (or whatever its called. Very fun offroad racing with option of motion sensor control for a good laugh) GTA4 (not played it but everyone says the hype is real) Resistence (Awsome FPS post 2WW with an alien invasion thrown in for a twist. Nice balance of human WW2 guns + Alien guns makes for a very cool storyline in single player, and awsome online fragging) That list should keep you happy for a while ;)

yep i do now. I also HATED the front bar, but again... its grown on me. It doesn't photograph well, but in person its nice and agressive. Rims will change for sure. Also toying with widebody rear but need to decide before i choose rims. Being unessesery weight i probably wont bother even though i love the look of wide body Zeds. I'll probably just roll the guards and have illegally fat tyres ;) Have also recently discovered on of my front gaurds has snapped on the underside where the bar connects (the metal gaurd snaped before the plastic guard ???) so vented front gaurds "may" be on the cards.

hehe i didn't like the colour that much when i first got it. I prefer black cars. She might get re-sprayed in the future but I hate to say it... the colour has grown on me. Something to do with recent Lambo's coming out in a simular colour I think

Hi guys, Just joined the forum. Im a long standing member (and annoying post whore) on Aus300zx.com. I'm actually originally from Tunbridge Wells, Kent but moved out to Australia with my family nearly 6 years ago. Since moving I got into the Jap HPI scene which is quite large in Perth. I purchased a 180sx CA18DET which i loved to bits (and still miss), but even when I purchased that, it was really a Zed I was after. So I then sold it 2 years later and got a 1989 Z32 TT 2+2 Its not as clean and well kept example as my 180sx was but its getting there as time and money allow. Anyway, if it's ok with you guys I'd like to lurk and join in on here for a bit as Im travelling back to the UK for Christmas, and if time allows, would love to catch up with some people from the UK Zed scene, take snaps, trade stories etc etc and of course, go to the pub (damn i miss a good cider personally) Anyway... thats me Pics of my cars: The 180SX that was Near stock CA18det but she still ran a 14.980..... and then the head kind of... opened :( 300ZX Z32 TT 2+2 I love it. I hate it. Needs work, and is perfect depending on what day you ask me. She's got a FMIC, Highflowed T28's, 2.5 inch Cat back... and a whole heap of issues. Ran a 14.020 and after that the clutch was slipping. Hoping just new clutch, find and fix some boost leaks, is all its going to take. Shes on stock boost due to poor compression test results, so the real fun wont begin until the engine is rebuilt. Oh....
