2 things - recently added a new induction kit - which increased the size of the cone to 4 inch, but ran ok for 4 weeks - just changed plugs, they look good, just right combustion BUT plugs I took out were BCPR6E - 11 which are not platinum - put in PFR6B-11 now but doesnt seem to have cured will other plugs cause problem?

dont think its manifold, noise loud noises on idle - sounds fine - loud noise hasnt happened for past couple of days but misfire has - car runs ok up to 3k then misfire starts but not all the time

Can anyone help with this problem? Car is NA, manual with Blitz cans. Just been in France for past week, car was running fine until late Monday night. Just paid at toll and accelerated away through 1,2 & 3 to avoid other cars, then got up to cruising speed, about 90 mph, not long after problems started. When I release throttle just a fraction, the noise from exhausts was very loud and bad vibration, release throttle totally noise stopped, accelerate and hold at cruising speed ok - just when I released a fraction. Then problem cured itself a flittle while down road. Next few days and coming back to UK struggling when accelerating in wrong gear (feels like handbrake on, but not), struggling up hills and when release throttle lots of popping in exhaust - unburnt fuel I think igniting in ehaust. Now think missing on 1 pot. What am I looking for as problems - got new plugs to put in (when rain stops) - how do I test coil pack etc? Cheers Rob

Having problems with speedo like others here - goes up to 100kph then drops back to zero Just had speedo sensor changed, didnt cure problem so guess must be clocks. The question is - is the speedo clock driven by variable voltage from sensor or variable frequency? Can't find any info from manual on disk or online

Hi, got same problem with mine, chatted to guys in Jap place in Fratton, he said, gearbox sensor, dry joint by gearbox or on cluster but worryingly he said if clocks have been clocked, this can cause problem

Hi, I just bought a pair of rears for my 93 NA off ebay - Brembo - for £85 the pair - local motor factors wanted 88 each - still got some on ebay, just do a search

I have an NA and it's great, still very quick and handles really well. Also mine has no driver aids so costs less when things go wrong - no ABS, HICAS and Tubbies to go wrong and have repaired at great expense

Have a 93 NA jap import - are rear discs the same for the TT and NA - 287 X 18 - need some discs, everywhere seems to list them for TT but not for NA

jez, what was the damage to the insurance?

Go to a garage with high tech wheel alignment, had same probs, costs a fair bit but well worth the money with cost of tyres

AQbout 2 week thing, only had car 3 weeks and not had V5 in my naame so might take them time to track me down, unfortunately, they do as I found out once b4 with MR2 tubbynot long after getting that one - one day I might learn my lesson :)))))))

fortunately I have only a NA manual, which has different gearing for 5th gear than tubby and different diff ratio, so just praying now, dont want to lose licence and have to give up the zed

Update - how accurate is sat nav for the speed? cos i just went out in car with sat nav - the kph on sat nav matched clock until clock goes wrong - switched to mph, opened it up to 4500 rpm and mph was exactly 100 - so might be under 100, fingers crossed

It was a van, so didnt come after me, reason speedo is knacked, goes up to about 100kph, starts wavering then drops back to zero, now awaiting summons to drop through door :(

Hi, anyone tell me what the speed is at 4500rpm in 5th, my speed sensor gives up at around 110kph cos I passed PC Plod with camera on an A road at this speed - want to know how much s**t i'm in :cry:

Need to change reaer barke disks and pads, not done them b4 on the zed, 93 jap import, how do i get pistons back? is it rewind tool or normal piston pusher? and is there anything i should watch out for, cos am aware that some jap cars are notoriously difficult to do. Second, just bought all singing and dancing stereo, sat nav touch screen etc but is double din and there are 2 single din slots, 1 for cd player, 1 for cubby hole - is there a conversion fascia for this or anyone got any ideas? Cheers
