Hi yesterday I was on the M27 motorway and it was p*ssing down, car running fine, hit the 50 mph restriction for 2 miles, dropped to 4th then 3rd to stay in limit. When I went to accelerate away just misfired and lost power, Cat overheat light came on for 4/5 seconds, changed up and ran ok, but if I tried to go over 3k revs would misfire. A few miles later and back in Pompey, no rain, car was running fine and was ok this morning. Any ideas to the problem? Rob

The 159 are reusable but need cleaning up, worse case will replace all of them but may not be same pattern.

Hi I am refurbishing my Advan wheels and have removed the bolts in them, 160 in total, but sheared one of them. They are the 12 point flange bolt with dimple in the top, size M6 x 20mm Has anyone got any idea where I can get a stainless, zinc plate or titanium bolt or full set from. Want this as going anthracite with shiny bolts around. I have tried alibaba.com and got quoted $325 for 200 bolts (minimum order) plus shipping for titanium bolts but this is too expensive. Rob

Car going back in again on Monday, going to have genuine belt fitted. And thanks Jeff, I have checked car over myself and I think there is temp sensor issue. The car seems to go to temp really quick even in this cold weather and revs stay at idle not 1300 when cold. I cleaned them up the connectors and found as I moved connector engine revved and cooling fan cut in.

Thanks Jeff The belt was a Dayco as it has warranty if any part of cam system fails, belt, bearings The belt was marked with white stripes for cam timing marks but strangely mechanic said that 1 of the stripes was 2 teeth out on 1 of the cams - he also said that he checked the cambelt was checked 10 times before re-assembly. I will take back to him with your suggestions.

I've just had cam belt changed with all bearings, tensioner etc - got the car back Friday, took her out today for 1st time and total lack of power. :cursing: At idle when put foot on gas revs drop to virtually nothing and then rise, very little power through revs, the noise of the exhaust has increased a lot Just like idea of possible causes - timing? cambelt out on a pulley? :helpsmilie:

Hi Need to change timing belt and pulleys etc. Car is 1993 JDM NA. Is it hydraulic or standard tensioner on these? Rob

Hi Bought red stuff front pads and 280 x 30mm rotors for my '93 NA JDM and found that I couldn't get the pads on the rotor. When I measured my old ones they were 25mm. Confused cos I thought the NA and TT had same rotor. Rob

Need help, when cold there is a rattle or more like chatter when driving at about 4000 rpm. This doesn't happen when start and rev car when stationary when cold only when moving. When warm runs very well with no noise. I know it is related to oil but got no idea where. Had car checked over recently, all plugs cleaned (injectors etc) new oil, filter, cam follower treatment in oil. Car is NA manual. Any ideas? Rob

Hi, I know why I fish tailed, looking for what damage may have happened that I can't see.

Just asking for some advice on what to look for after hitting crash barrier after slide on black ice :( Went through roundabout ok and started to accelerate away on dual carriageway, started to fishtail in 2nd, off throttle and dipped clutch, car settled down, changed up into 3rd let foot off clutch car fishtailed badly, spun me around, slid up carriageway backwards and rear passenger side bumper hit barrier and rotated me . checked car no obvious damage to bumper lights, wheel etc. Car drives fine. Anyone got any ideas of things to look for that are not obvious.

Have you got autolock function on alarm - locks doors after 30 secs of engine being on then unlocks when engine switched off

Hi - i have similar problem but has only started recently - have narrowed it down to having heater on. Found it first started when went on long run at night and was cold, so fired up heater and noise started - shut heater down, when cooled, noise went So think it is expansion of pipes, matrix etc.

Just wondering if worth going to the autojumble this weekend for bits for the zed and pick up a bargain. Anyone know if any good ot if any zed traders will be there?

cant see it being MAF, revs to limit - not running rich or lean just wondering if the incorrect plugs caused a problem or have a sticking valve
