Been to see a lad about fitting a full leather interior. Absolutely great - but just realised I dont have a grand kicking around. so do I..... A. Try and retrim myself with a big sheet of vinyl. B. Buy a retrim kit off ebay and retrim myself with that. Im just wondering if the ebay kits are stiched etc for bending round the centre console armrest - I emailed the guy and he just directed me to a pic of what you get - but you cant see if its just a flat piece of vinyl, or shaped and stitched.

Dash kits again
anyone fitted this kit - got pics of the install? Is quality good? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/1990-1996-NISSAN-300ZX-BR-ALUMINUM-DASH-KIT_W0QQitemZ4618793898QQcategoryZ10402QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem Theres a few different brushed alloy kits out there but this one seems to be cut round the vents a little better than some of the others Ive seen

f**k f**k f**k
I know how ya feel bud, I bought mine and spent a further 10 grand near on trying to fix it up all the time. In the end I decided enough was enough - and started to break it. As Mac says, I'd personally take it to Baggins or Topless or someone reputable to go over it all and have a look. They'll give ya an honest opinion on whether to break or fix.

advice again :)
Viniboy - exactly what I was looking for. Are there any bigger pics? Is that light grey or cream? that looks well nice

Just for Info
shame, cant you garage her for a bit, then see how things lay later in the year?
-
advice again :)
anyone point me to their rides with a light grey interior. or cream/ivory coloured :)
-
advice again :)
Right - think Im gonna bite the bullet and PAY someone to fit a leather interior. Seats are already leather (cracked but not too bad). Because I dont have an eye for colour and dont wanna waste my money could you please say on a black car what colour interior you'd go for. Im thinking cream or ivory coloured. Other thoughts are bright or dull red. Seen a bright red one and am not sure if its a bit garish. I know its all down to personal preference but am just after ideas or pics of a black car with diff colour interiors. Cheers

Retrim
Cheers bud, Ive dropped him an email. Dave, I removed the tweed. Top of the cover looks fine but corners look bodged :(
-
pod
whatever you do - dont buy one off ebay I paid £17 for one and its crap - absolute pants! Its a throw away - I emailed the guy back and basically got told - it does the job - the gauges dont sit in it properly.
-
Retrim
How bloody hard is that to do. Started on the centre console cover last night - removed grey tweed. Got some Evo-Stick - thinned it down a bit - painted leatherette and armrest pad - waited 15 mins - stuck it on - adjusted - adjusted some more, got a crease in the corners so adjusted some more, crease in the other corner - adjusted some more - other corner then pulled away and creased - now Im left with a cover which is all crappy round the edges - think Im gonna pay someone to do it. Best quote Ive had so far is £300 for the door cards, and console tweed.

fuel leak/smell
I couldnt actually see mine leaking, couldnt have been that bad, I just jammed a screwdriver under the screw and rotated it round so I could get head (oeerr missus ;) ) Tightened and that cured the fuel smell. It was really bad in the mornings - now - nowt :) Dead chuffed

M1 Convoy(North) to Joint March Meet
Pete, think myself and craig are gonna meet up at Meadowhall at about 11:30ish. Think Si will meet us there too - just waiting for him to confirm - then I think we'll pop down M1 and is it J31? we come off at. Theres a layby there I think - then we can meet up with you guys and head back up M1 to J32 then up M18. I think :)

Looking forward to monday
getting rid of the rear purple/brown tints and getting black tints on the rear window and rear 3/4's. Dunno whether to go for limo black or just a very dark tint.

fuel leak/smell
I done mine this morning mate and fixed my fuel leak. As Vinz says - prize it around until you can get a screwdriver on the head, and tighten I thought I was gonna need a replacement fpr but it was the small hose under the fpr that was loose. No petrol smell this morning - result :D

Ztech
Ryan, sat behind the missus in hers today, as she was going over little bumps in the road i noticed the rear nearside tyre was bouncing up in the air and I could see air underneath it - if ya know what I mean. Is that normal or does that indicate worn shocks? Sorry for thread stealing :)

JML Steam Genie
Cheers PK, gonna give the steamer a miss. Reet, Been out and bought a JML Cleaner. Verdict : Toss, complete and utter toss. Im not saying the other one PK is on about is bad but dont touch the JML with a barge pole!!! It didnt touch the oven door, and barely removed last nights dinner from a plate. I tried it on the hob - didnt touch it. Tried it on a bit of gunk under the bonnet - I get better results with an oily rag. Its going back tomorrow :)

A pillar pod
Syed - I have a (VERY NEARLY) new one for sale bud. Make us an offer :)
-
JML Steam Genie
I may pick one up on the way home from work. Im leaving at 4 and just wanted some feedback on people who have one.

JML Steam Genie
Whaddya reckon to this. Have been advised to get one for a retrim, and was gonna get it until I read all the reviews on Amazons website by customers. They're not right happy - a few people said it was ok, but the majority crap. Think it was pk1 who said they're good. Just after any other comments as it would be good for wheels etc.
-
retrim advice again
dont have a steamer - however I do have my wifes steam iron :) Would that do - its one of them that you press and it does a vertical jet of steam - as long as I dont get too close with the soleplate :) ?
