erratic speedo
Hi guys, coming back from Southport today, my speedo started bouncing about and just reading nonsense. Is it likely to be the converter, or is there some other likely culprit ? By the way, its even worse if I go over a bump, but reads between 20 and 40 when just pottering along so gonna get caught by a f****** Gatso if I dont sort it quick. 1980 Jap N/A by the way. Thanks guys

Not me Issac :headvswal Sent my pods to Groover last Wednesday and they havent got to him yet. F*****g P.O. havent got a clue where they are, and of course I cant use my Z until I get them back, no Wipers, no Lights, and no Indicaters. I'm well pissed off. Just had 3 days off and weve had to go round in the girlfriends Saxo VTR. I still cant straighten my legs out  Still it meant I could :duffer: :hyper: BTW my rear spoiler is a NAVAN !!! :D

Exactly the same fault as mine had. Alternator was knackered. Draining battery overnight. Suggest you get it checked first. :)

Anyone familiar with Meta M99T Alarm?
Dont know if this is any help, but my Lazerline 996 has a siren exclusion mode. Apparently some Hospitals and Ferries insist on it so most systems have this function. If its in this mode, only the Indicators flash and no siren sounds.Just a thought ??

Whirring Noise
Hi Buddies, Ive developed a quite loud whirring noise which seems to be coming from around the A/C Compressor. It doesn't change if A/C is on or off, but does go up and down in pitch with engine revs.Cant see anything else nearby that could cause it.I know its a long shot when you cant hear it yourselves, but any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.Sounds a little bit like when we used to put a bit of cardboard through pushbike spokes to sound like a motorbike.:D Thanks Guys.

oil pressure sender
Can anyone please tell me if a U.K. Zed has a oil warning light, whereas my Jap hasn't ? I ask because my local parts shop is getting me a sender for £5.99 and the cheapest I have found on the net is about £45. The part was listed for a 300zx from 90-96 as an oil switch, with no other oil sender listed at all. I need a sender but fear that this is not the right part. Any help please ? :headvswal

Hi Tonus, I,m trying to find you a number for a quote I got a few days ago. I'll find it in a minute. It was for £123 believe it or not. I couldn't take it up cos I havent got sole use of another motor, and stupidly or not I told them that.Fully Comp. with low excess as well.Unfortunately for me ,my Z is my only motor so have stayed with same company for £194.Will get back as soon as I find their number. Cheers Maz.

Less Sharp
My N/A is less responsive when it's warmed up. Could this be the timing ? I have checked TPS voltage and its reading 0.43V .Also it's an auto and its sometimes reluctant to kick down when its hot, but all gears are there and changes are really smooth.Any ideas please guys.

I Give up!
I've got a Lazerline 996(v3) and when my alternator packed up overnight and flattened the battery, it went apeshit even when the battery was charged again.Changed the alternator, then reset and worked perfectly ever since.Dont know if this is any help :) Hope you sort it quickly. Cheers Maz.
