  1. welcome to the club mate and good luck in your search. id normally say never go for the first one you see but it looks like youre experienced enough to know that already :D
  2. all being well i'll be at the next one! cant remember the last time i went! :(
  3. some guy who started working at the same head office as me recently has proven to be complete cock on the roads. he has a mint astra vxr nurburgring edition, and drives it like a tw@. ive seen him with my own eyes flooring it through the work car park while there's people walking to their cars, and ive heard reports from workmates that he drives like a stuntman - weaving in and out of traffic, speeding, crossing 3 lanes to undertake on a roundabout, then crossing back again. ive heard about him cutting people up on the sliproad on the way to work, and he's skipped the queue of 50 cars on the way out of work on one occassion - pulling into a space that i'd left in front of me before we have to drive over a security barrier. he thinks he's the dogs, with his pretty hair and mobile phone glued to his head all the time. today, on a glorious sunny friday morning, i turn the corner that leads to the driveway up to work, see an unmarked silver police car with lights going pulled up at the side of the road, and guess what car parked in front of it! :hyper: :hyper: :hyper: yeah baby he's been done for speeding and possibly dangerous driving! not only will he surely receive at least points and a fine, but he had to suffer the embarrassment of EVERYONE driving past him! needless to say a few emails flew around the company that morning! a couple of people my workmate knows says that they were going to complain to his manager about his driving, and it looks like that might have happened this morning too. sometimes justice finds its own way ;) just for a few hours this morning, life was good
  4. the ramp to my driveway is quite steep but luckily i can reverse in at an angle and park in front of the house. anything else and it just scrapes, but thats with a boogered offside front shock - replacing for KYB and Eibach so let's see what happens
  5. excellent - good to hear about some old names returning to spice it up a bit!
  6. well done mate - make sure you do the Z proud!
  7. that ad just HAS to be fake - the spelling is SO bad it has to be a pi**-take! please tell me it is! :x:
  8. the latest GT5 video shows that theyve got the FIA WRC licence and NASCAR licence!!!! i wonder what theyre going to do with those! ...i guess the slightly bad news is that there wont be a solid rally game for the PS3 (in the form of the WRC games). Colin McRae dirt was great but a little to 'commercialised' and not just about two guys in a car with a stage in front of them like many other rally games.
  9. yeah baby - good find!!! got him on tape!
  10.  mind you, who needs fort boyard when we had the crystal maze! (ps. richard o'brien ruled, ed tudor pole was crap)
  11. Happy Birthday buddy! :duffer:
  12. great news mate!!! :duffer:
  13. Terminator 1, Alien 1 and 2, Lord of the Rings... ...and if im in an old-skool mood (VERY old-skool), School for Scoundrels (with Terry Thomas) or the original 39 steps with Robert Donat.
  14. just need to save up for a PSP to use as an in-game rear-view mirror
  15. i believe this is true - no doubt coming full-circle by showing the time-travel equipment, and sending kyle back to 1984 to save sarah, and reprogramming another arnie to go after the T1000 in the 90's. and THEN reprogramming another arnie to go after the T-X in the 00's. terminator geek! >
  16. just got back from seeing it. im slowly growing to like it, but i have to say apart from a couple of excellent action scenes, the first hour is BORING as hell, i wished id taken a magazine in with me :slap: ...then it started to pick up properly and i enjoyed it more... ...then i saw the Arnie bit and WOW i f***ing loved it!!! that sequence really made the film for me! [no spoilers though ;) ] overall though i have to say i thought it disappointing - about as good as T3 :x:
  17. http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=103444 thought id dig up this thread again - anyone else want to try the GT5 vs Reality quiz :)
  18. is it just CDs you get the problem with, or DVDs as well?
  19. i'll get some more details up next month when ive digested the review!! :hyper:
  20. ...and i mean the propor one not the demo one ;) just flicked through the latest copy of official playstation magazine, and they say next month's issue will have the full story on GT5 (due this crimbo). i just cannot wait. ive deliberately not got prologue and what i have played (which is literally a few minutes when i was forced to by a mate) erally wowed me! cant wait
  21. if it was fall of man then it was resistance 1!! AAAAAARRRRRRGGHHH!!!
  22. role-playing - stats building - inventories - skills, etc. but i loved it and completed it twice
  23. resistance: fall of man was the first one - resistance 2 has only been out a few weeks. Fallout 3 is a cracking game but going on your preferences you may not like the RPG element. I picked up Blacksite quite cheap - thats not too bad
  24. NNNNNIIIIIIICCCCCEEEE. im really glad i read all that! :hurl:
  25. bloody ell that was quick mate! welcome back to the world of dreams
