i would never deliberately do this to the Z tho if im running on full chat with the windows down sometimes I can hear a faint t-t-t-t- of the compressor surge straight after my BOVs dump but i guess the springs are not set quite correctly.

mine is exactly the same, only seems to be noticeable during the cold weather. ive had a full engine rebuild, PCVs replaced and a decat.

dont let the fact that you'll need an import worry you too much. some insurance companies will charge more, but most will (and quite rightly should) not charge any more than a UK spec. trying to get some insurance companies to understand the difference between the Z31 and the Z32, and imports and UK specs, etc. can be a bit frustrating at times though :headvswal ...and welcome and good luck (from a guy who has stuck on a bodykit and messed around under the hood ;) )

ok steady on there im not looking for a 4-figure bhp (although it would be nice ;) ) i tried the dual intake but the engine struggled to idle properly so i decided to remove it and since then its been fine - my current bhp probably doesnt warrant the dual intake but i may consider it way in the future. New loom is a good suggestion, I may consider that. I have Z1 sidemounts which Im happy with at the moment, and should be able to deal with a moderate amount of power. Any more for any more?

^ what he said. manual conversions are a common thing to do/have done. ZedWorld on here provide this service. ive had a manual conversion and to be honest i didnt notice any specific difference in output as such, but i found the manual far more enjoyable to drive :duffer:

its bizarre cos its intermittent. if it happens I go back and retry and then it works... :confused: I used Maxthon before, which I believe used the IE6 or 7 engine.

I'm still getting this problem - seems to be when I moved from Maxthon to Firefox but I'd be surprised if that had anything to do with it. Anyone else having this problem?

Im starting to think about the next steps for power. I'm happy with my engine internals at the moment (555s, Wiseco pistons, etc.), and so my question is, what 'external' engine mods would you do with the engine out? Im saving up for some turbos (possibly JWT 530BBs, HKS, sort of middle-of-the-road power), and Im considering those manifolds that keep knocking about on fleabay. ...i suppose Nismo engine mounts would be one, any others? (not just power mods :) )
