  1. ...a friend of mine is looking to downgrade her Hyundai Coupe. She is doing far too much business travelling and only allowed to claim 16p per mile. She is looking for a small/medium diesel hatch with good MPG, but still has a bit of poke about it. Preferably between new and 3 years old. Any suggestions anyone?
  2. depends on the colour of the motor I guess. i dont know what colour I'd have on mine - nothing too bright like red or yellow, but nothing too dull like black either. Perhaps silver, or the same blue...
  3. always wanted a Mk. 2 Astra GTE in Flame Red. had to settle for a Cav GSi2000 which was almost as good.
  4. he probably just walks past cars taking photos of them and putting the parts on ebay!
  5. does that law affect the Mitsi GTO and Veyron?
  6. I recently upgraded my broadband with Orange from 8meg to 20meg. My application went through easily enough, and then I noticed my line speed dropped dramatically to less than 1meg. I was told to expect this during the upgrade so I put up with it quite happily. Unfortunately it stayed like that for over a month and after nearly 10 calls to their customer service, I am now getting just under 2meg. I've been told that the new Dynamic Line Management system that is used for superfast broadband lines talks to your router each night, and if the router doesn't respond (i.e. it's been switched off for the night) then your profile drops and you get a slower speed. Customer services were quite happy to say my profile had been dropping because I'd not left my router on for 10 days once I'd upgraded (which I only noticed tucked away in an email from them somewhere but which nevertheless is still my fault), and that if I leave my router on for 10 days then the line speed will pick up. Well it's been nearly a week since I started to leave it on permanently and all I get from my daily speed check is 1.8 meg. I've successfully explained to them that there's nothing wrong with my line, PC, router, connections, etc. as I was getting a decent 5.5meg with their 8meg package. The last time I spoke to them I asked the question 'do I have to leave my router on all the time in the future to prevent my profile from dropping' and the response was that it's best to leave it on. I barely ever leave my PC on either overnight or while I'm out of the house, and so the router gets switched off with it all. Does this mean that I have to leave it on 24/365 and pay for the electricity, even when I'm on holiday - for fear of having to let my 'profile' gradually build back up again which it isn't I hasten to add. I'm going to speak to them again tomorrow evening. This is getting ridiculous now! :slap: :mac1:
  7. ^ agreed - the review reckons the cars wont understeer as much as they have been (eg. prologue and that GT monstrosity) but we shall wait and see!
  8. WOW how cool!!! 1.29 secs quicker per lap so quite an impact really.
  9. b***ard deserves everything coming to him. call me vicious i dont care but hopefully this is just the start :mac1:
  10. that's amazing!!! SWB i notice :D FFS!
  11. I have an N/A LWB single-piece prop - I understand that one end can be converted to mate to a TT gearbox by modifying the flanges. Can both ends of the prop be converted so it mates a TT gearbox and a TT diff, or can you only do this at the gearbox end? If it is possible, is it advisable to do or will it lose some of its strength?
  12. just digging this one up again - how large would a custom catch-tank have to be to hold the average expansion from the rad (a larger rad like the Koyo) and would it just need the one 'input' (for the expansion pipe) plus the screw-cap?
  13. the full review has now appeared in OPM mag (about 3 months late :slap: ) the car count is still climbing and is unofficially expected to hit 4 figures  other confirmed features are: 70 variations of circuit Lambos and Bugattis Weight transfer conveyed through the DualShock 3 (if you don't have a force-feedback wheel) PSEye camera can track the movement of your head and look around the cockpit of the car you're driving! Dynamic weather Night racing for any track ...but I'm still dreading the terrible sound effects and lack of sense of speed and danger that other driving games manage to convey so well
  14.  you'd have to go back to 1895 to see the original post! :cool2:
  15. Happy Birthday matey!
  16. welcome to the club - im not sure of the science behind it, but I reckon you'd need to have good reactions to switch the boost off before it builds up too much (
