hmm unless youve got shares in Shell I wouldnt use the Z for such long journeys - the fuel cost isn't the only consideration to take into account as im sure youre aware. As far as LPG kits go, well TBH we had a bit of a laugh about them a while ago when someone else suggested it, but you could prove everyone wrong. If you're up for it then go for it - we'd all be interested to see how the conversion went, and what the MPG, BHP, 0-60 etc. figures would be afterwards. hmm going by the above list, 3 at the moment. ive got a Blitz controller ready to go in, but standard intercoolers. anyone got aftermarkets up for sale cheap? :D start the "get Dave to stage 5 on the cheap" campaign :rolleyes:

oooohhh, an extra 5-15bhp over standard depending on how the valve controller has been set up. if youre looking to tweak it up a bit more, get an aftermarket air filter, boost jets and jwt chip - cost you under £200 if you know where to look ;)

welcome Roy. HKS valve controller - dont play with it unless you know what youre doing. ;) these generally need setting up by professionals. As DJTomo says the fuel smell is generally down to a loose/cracked pipe and isn't a rare problem. best to check the pipes asap but dont worry about it too much. Sounds like its best to take the car to a car electronics place to see what they can do about your myriad of head units (and install alarm - Cat 1 is best)!!! Instructions for your head units should be downloadable from the internet. Bulbs - are you talking about side repeaters? If so then one or two of the traders on here do good prices on ones that DO fit! ;) Check the FOR SALE section for alloys up for sale. I think cruise does only work up to a certain speed but mines buggerd and i wouldnt use it anyways :)

thats right mate. i had the same problem - handling was a nightmare as the car skipped a lot from the back end - nearly lost it and put the car into a bank (the soil kind!) im not sure if they can be fixed or if they have to be replaced. anyone?

yeah dont go for the unbranded £20 ebay ones mate as theyre cheap and the filter material goes all white patches on you after a couple of years. save up for an ApexI Powerflow like the fellas have said. Oh, and don't get a universal ApexI Powerflow cos it wont fit the Z (some idiot found that out the hard way :x: )

yeah i noticed a lot more TDi's try it on - they seem to think that their Turbo puts their car into the same class as ours ;) i always get dickheads trying it on - Mundane'os, Clios, Passats, etc. what are they thinking?????
