  6. just seen the latest gameplay movie at http://www.gamespot.com and there's at least 4 background clips with the Z in
  7. not bad price at the moment tho - £860! new tubbies are double that! my dad used to work for Rolls Royce - but that was before i owned the Z, otherwise id have asked him to smuggle bits of tubby out for me :D
  8. you can buy a separate modification which deliberately increases autobox line pressure (HKS ALC2) at shift points. so i wouldnt think this would be a problem. how much does it pull forward - mine goes at 1 or 2mph when no throttle.
  9. i love the custom-built surround around the 3 gauges
  10. take the £500,000 and buy them all :D otherwise C

  13. you have been taught well... my young apprentice... oops thats what the 'park side' would say
  14. if the smog regulations were a US-only thing then yes. i think.
  15. wasnt it the UK cars where you could firm up the sus (with a click of the handbrake?)

i got this ages ago - definately a good read!!! (will photocopy it for you if youre desperate! - B&W only tho :( )
  17. quite an interesting report. perhaps this paragraph might explain the long-asked question about the horsepower (ie 280 or 300): "One thing to note: The 1996 model dropped the variable valve timing due to smog regulations. According to Steve Mitchell, who's worked with Nissan for 15 years, OBDII required the car's computer to not only monitor the fact the variable cam timing had changed, the regulations also required the ECU to monitor the exact position of the camshaft in adjustment range. The cost to update the ECU and add the sensors to the engine was too high for the final year of production. While officially the horsepower still hovered at the 300 mark, Nissan enthusiasts acknowledge the unofficial level was more like 280 hp." ...and of course the obligatory 0-60 time is now 5.0
  18. dammit didnt make a blind bit of difference on mine :( id left them as they came - about 30mm out  so adjusted them down to about 8mm (i was lying on my side in my work clothes) but no change. wonder if i make it EXACTLY 4mm it will work??? :slap:
  19. i first heard this track while i was playing ssx3 on ps2 - makes my spine tingle!
  20. dont try that! that was a complete accident and most of the fish have now been removed from my person. the nun will back me up on that one.
  21. June '03 was when I brought her for £5500 - the best of three Zs bless her. 18 months on and no regrets... ...actually thats a lie ive had loads of regrets whenever something goes wrong but the regrets soon disappear ;)
