Yes my clutch is vacuum-assisted - came with the rest of the kit - I think the manual balance bar is involved there. Don't get too technical on me tho Mark :) Jeff will be able to answer that question.

i had an auto and, through it breaking down, converted to a manual. TBH i always wanted the car to be manual - the autobox is good but vulnerable. for straight-line driving, an autobox with HKS line controller is GREAT! for country lanes and rallying a manual is much better. take your choice.

i agree - suddenly finding out youre at 18psi of boost is scary - in more ways than one. for some reason mine has settled down to a more sensible 16. Great news on the conversion mate! :hyper: do you miss the old shifter or not? clutch is fine on mine buddy - do you mean vacuum-assisted?

just dug out 4 migs from my bits n bobs drawer - two of them say 1-0.040 on them and look new, two of them say 0.6 on them ( :shock: ) and look used! my second ever mod to my Z was JWT and jets, but being a newbie i didnt really understand what they were ( :rolleyes: ) just asked the mech to put them in! please tell me i didnt have 0.6's in! i think ive got 0.8s in at the moment. whats the 1-0.040 mean then?

Anyone tried this out yet? The graphics look almost as good as GT4, but the reviews say the cars are harder to control ( :eek: ). Screenshots look good tho.

if youre looking for a good but safe start, a JWT chip coupled with 1mm boost jets is the perfect combination... until your right foot gets itchy and you go for a controller. the chip and jets can be found for aruodn the £70-£90 mark if you shop around which makes them great value for money.

really sorry to hear its gone that way mate. ive owned my Z for just over 2 years and once or twice ive seriously considered getting rid of it just cos of the money spent to get it fixed. i think youve made the right decision tho if this is how you feel. good luck with selling her. :(

i dont think that's too bad. a little extreme around the bonnet and rear but i do like the colour. one question, if its a "non-turbo", whats that little PSI gauge doing on the speedo? :confused:

i think the R34 V-spec is 320bhp, but im sure there are no engine mods - just a small vent in the bonnet, some brake and/or suspension work etc. i'd suspect a standard R34 may in reality be more than the quote of 280.
