  2. he was on facebook over the weekend and tagged me in a photo of ten Zs in Tamworth with a semi-naked girl sitting on his bonnet!
  3. my Apexis weren't set up tight enough, and were letting air into the engine on idle which caused my Z to try and stall. a quick tighten up and theyre fine!
  4. dont listen to Si, he's 95 this year  TurboXS are usually claimed to be the loudest. i have Apexi on mine and i'm happy with them. look to spend £200-£275 for new. a tonne less than that for 2nd hand
  5. i hate you forever now!! ;) what an awesome machine! its just sitting there on the driveway like a nuclear bomb
  6. they were a factory fitted extra on the JDMs only. i think they look the nutts - mine's blue and matches my paintwork almost perfectly! :D although its either too bright to see one or too dark to see the other! lol
  7.  at halflife i was disappointed too that they were'nt doing the collision till next month.
  8. signed. i felt so sorry for Kimmi for holding the lead for so long. yes Lewis' skill gained him his 6 seconds back, and when Kimmi shut him down and forced him off the road there was nothing Lewis could have done other than hit Kimmi's front wheel. Lewis won fair and square.
  9. I bet Raikkonen is so pissed off, losing a 6 second lead to Hamilton, and then throwing everything away on the penultimate lap! if it was me i'd be kicking the car and throwing my helmet at Lewis the next time he came around!
  10. the upper car park at Bradgate Park? - slopes downwards and made of yellowy stones/gravel
  11. that sounds like a big step in the right direction Neil tell your daughter to keep up the good work!
  12. great stuff! im really glad this is continuing, albeit in electronic form!
  13. :hurl: looks gross - looks like an amateur job too. i think it may be running more like 310bhp tops!!!
  14. ooh about 6 months, lol!
  15. agreed - I had the ALC2 and although it was great fun, it killed my autobox (which could have been in any state of repair for all i knew) leading me to have a manual conversion. i got mine from DTA - dont know if he still does them or not
  16. i read this in the paper this morning. interesting stuff, but at the back of my non-scientist mind i dont feel that we're ready for this kind of thing yet, lol! nice link Mac, that guy tells us theyre firing particles so fast they travel around an 18-mile circut 11,000 times a SECOND!!! wish i could get my z that fast
  17. yeah its a real shame cos they were a great bunch of guys - they were real enthusiasts too - they'd rebuild a GTO engine, and were working on a 4WD Corsa with a Calibra turbo engine - and would always say if im driving past im welcome to pop in for a cup of tea. a year later when i went in he'd had to lay off half his staff including Andy who had helped me choose the colour, but the owner's plan was to start doing MOTs which he did for a while but i dont know if that fell through as well or he just moved to other premises.
  18. got a day off work today so i thought i'd drive over to Thurnby and visit the bodyshop who did a darn good job of painting and repairing my poorly Z and fitting the bodykit, as i have a new kit all stacked up ready to go. got there and no answer, spoke to a couple of businesses either side (a garage and a car dealership) and they both tell me he's not been to his shop for over a month. one tells me the rumour is he's moved into town and started a new bodyshop. thankfully ive managed to dig out his email so ive emailed him and asked him whats going on. so feeling a little dejected i got into my car and drove to the alloy wheel place down the road to me with the intention of seeing if they sold the wheels that i want. they've bloody closed down as well :headvswal what's going on? lol! thankfully i know of two or three bodyshops that i can trust, but i'd rather find the guys from The Worx Bodyshop or whatever its called now and have them do it, if they're still in this business that is!
  19. youre right - up this week to number 17!!! i agree, lots of those cars are fugly, but some are just dated. Fiat Multipla came 2nd though - should be 1st :slap:
  20. thanks Smithy - I have Z1 sidemounts which are thicker and IIRC slightly higher but im sure a decent bodyshop could make a good job of it. thanks again
  21. just noticed the wanted thread for intercooler ducting, and after searching found that most aftermarket bumpers won't allow them to fit - is there anyone who can do i/c ducts for specific aftermarket bumpers? or is this something a half-decent bodyshop can fabricate?
  22. aw, looks like a cheeky little monkey :)
  23.  love jap TV!!!!
  24. wheel bearing. does it generally happen when cold?
