Fixing a pesky oil leak
Nearly done then Steve. It feels good once the actuator is bolted on, it's that top bolt I just couldn't get my hand up their to turn it, like you lost count the times drop the bloody thing, hence the idea of sticking the bolt to my finger to stop it dropping.

Fixing a pesky oil leak
To be honest I done a complete engine rebuild a few year ago after my main bearings went, I stripped everything including the oil filter housing and refitted using the nissan gasket as manual shows. However this failed, so speaking to a good mechanic friend about the failure he suggested not using the gasket in case the mating faces aren't square to each other. He gave me the sealant which he uses on race engines that he builds, so I went that direction. Hope I haven't given you a dilemma.

Fixing a pesky oil leak
Yes well done Steve, bet you don't want to do that top right bolt in a hurry again Lol. I must say when I did mine I didn't remove the starter motor or my divorced down pipe or remove the actuator arm clip, so properly made life more awkward for myself. I do like a challenge though. Have you got the actuator arm clip back in? And did removing the starter motor help?

Fixing a pesky oil leak
Yes am at japfest, although I broke my foot mountain biking 3 weeks ago so got a mate driving my car. I'll proberly still be on crutches so will be easily spotted! What I done with those bolts when putting them back was dap a bit of blu tac or sealant on the end of your finger and push the bolt head into it, The bolt should hold and you should be able to gently feed the bolt using your finger, once the bolt holds enough then tighten using whatever spanners will fit in there. Its tricky but your get there in the end. Good luck.

Fixing a pesky oil leak
hi steve, had to this myself last year after mine started to drip oil onto the exhaust coming back from beaulieu last summer. That top right bolt was a right pig to get out, had to walk away from it a few times. I kept the actuator clip in as was worried I'd never get it back in but I took the 2 bolts out and that just gave me enough room to access the top bolt. Good luck with putting it back.

Ok I'll mention it to them and see what they think. Actually my brother is one who attended japfest and beaulieu last year with me who I think we spoke to you.

What about me, just outside Bath, close to castle Combe, more south west I suppose. I know of three zed owners within about 8 miles of me and trying to get them to join the club. They just don't do computers!.

Excellent day, great to see nice selection of zeds, even the wife and kids enjoyed it, although slightly cramped on the 130mile round trip!. Look forward to this being yearly meet.
