Fog Light Switch
I wouldn't know where to start. I'll just check them all I think lol. The fact that the relay isn't even clicking says to me that it's either the switch I've somehow broken or the relay is fried. Cheers.

Fog Light Switch
Cheers for the reply. The only reason I haven't checked the footwell fuses is because they fuse card is all in japanese and because everything else seems to be working. There is no light on the illuminated switch and there is definately no power to the switch. I tested the fog fuse and it had continuity so was not blown, and there was 12v at the fusebox so I'll have to try the relay next. Unfortunately it looks like there's not another relay like that on the car so I'll have to buy one to see if that's the problem :) Cheers.

Fog Light Switch
Is there a fuse for the fogs in the drivers footwell fusebox? I've found a fog fuse under the bonnet in the same box as the fog relay. If there is another fuse then that sounds like the likely culprit - I can't see how anything else can have blown even if some wires that aren't meant to touch have touched. Cheers.

Fog Light Switch
When putting everything back together after changing my handbrake warning light bulb I think I wired the aftermarket switch for the rear fogs up wrong. Now the front fogs don't work either :headvswal I've wired the rear fog switch up correctly now and checked the foglight fuse but the front and rear fogs refuse to work. The fog relay doesn't click. The rear fog lights seem to take their power from the front fog switch. Any ideas what I might have done? Cheers, James

Handbrake Warning Light
Can't find the right bulbs at all. All the local motor factors seem to have a bulb that's slightly the wrong size. Surely someone on here must have changed this bulb before? Where can I get one from? Any of the site traders sell them? Cheers.

Handbrake Warning Light
Doesn't look like Halfords have any the right size. Anyone know the best place to source these bulbs? Cheers

Handbrake Warning Light
Thanks for the replies. Got the instrument panel out today and tested the suspect bulb across the battery and found it to not light up so that was definately the problem. Just got to locate a replacement bulb now. Might go down to halfords a bit later and see if they stock them in there. Cheers.

Anyone familiar with Meta M99T Alarm?
Cheers moby! Looks like thats the M999T though which I think is a better version? Seems like the M99T is quite a rare alarm! I'll try sending an email to Meta to see if they'll send me some installation instructions - I know it's unlikely they'll help me for free but it's worth a try I think :D

Anyone familiar with Meta M99T Alarm?
Possibilty! Only problem is I can't find any info about the system so have no idea how it's got into this mode or how to get it out of the mode :D lol.

Handbrake Warning Light
Is there any way of testing the handbrake warning light? I have a feeling the bulb has blown because it doesn't come on when the handbrake is applied and after checking the switch out today it seems to be working OK. I've also pulled the connector off the brake fluid reservoir which I imagined would make the light come on? but it didn't. Does this sound like a blown bulb? Cheers.

Anyone familiar with Meta M99T Alarm?
Cheers Moby. I've found wires in that area that look they're alarm related. One of them goes to the bonnet switch for the alarm but there's another that doesn't go to anything. Not sure what this is but I don't think it's likely to be for a siren as the connector is female. It's the size and shape of a telephone connector but like I said, a female connector and it is cable tied to the wiring loom. Anyone know what this might be for? Does this sound like it should have the siren on the end of it or does it sound more like what I thought it might be - some sort of diagnostic/test port. I've still had no luck finding any installation guides for this alarm so have no idea about what this wire might be for or even if it is alarm related. Cheers.

Anyone familiar with Meta M99T Alarm?
Ahhh - mine has no airbox cause it's got an apexi filter on it. Hmmmm.

Anyone familiar with Meta M99T Alarm?
I thought this as well but the horn works so that would indicate either a faulty control box or a break in the wiring somewhere. Thats why I'm assuming there is a siren fitted but it's faulty. I can't find any installation instructions on the internet so have no idea which wires I should be following:headvswal Cheers.

Anyone familiar with Meta M99T Alarm?
Had a look in both suggested places and can't find anything :headvswal May have to try and find a Meta Systems dealer and get them to have a look and see if they can find the siren. If anyone has knowledge of this alarm system - where is the siren likely to be fed from? I've found a 'Remote Controlled Car Alarm Central Box' if this is useful. I'm thinking I may be able to follow the wiring and find the siren. Cheers.

Anyone familiar with Meta M99T Alarm?
I've got a Meta M99T alarm and immobiliser fitted my car and the other day I realised that the siren for it doesn't actually work  When the alarm would usually sound, the hazards just flash. Can anyone recommend where the siren is likely to be fitted? I've had a quick look under the bonnet but I've really no idea where to start. Cheers

Exhaust Advice
Cheers Legrath - that's the sort of thing I was thinking. That was my main concern with ordering from zcentre - I might have to have it modified to fit my current system. I'll have to take the current mid-section off and get someone to make one from the shape of the old one. Anyone know any exhaust system designers close-ish to Stoke? :D

Exhaust Advice
Cheers hellraiser, I'll make a few phone calls tomorrow and try to get some quotes. Cheers, Osty1. I'll send them an email now to enquire about the middle section.

Exhaust Advice
Yeh hellraiser that's the bit I'm looking for. I know most places don't sell the mid section seperately that's why I'm thinking it's gonna be perhaps a local engineering shop who'll have equipment to bend a new pipe if I take the old one off to get it's shape. I've had a quick look on ebay ruishy1 but couldn't see anything but cheers - I'll keep checking :)

Exhaust Advice
Cheers ruishy1 - it's the bit behind the cats that I'm after though. The bit that links the cats to the rear section/silencers. Vern

Exhaust Advice
My zed at the moment has a bespoke exhaust on it (I think) but the middle section of the exhaust is completely rotten. I've seen exhaust middle sections for sale on the zcentre website for £135 exc. VAT and was wondering if anyone on here had had them made bespoke or has got them from somewhere eles for anything less than that? I don't know if I'm missing how much work is involved in creating these but £135 + VAT seems a bit steep for basically two pipes :) Also a bit worried that I'm going to spend that much money on a middle section and then have to pay more to have it modified to fit the bespoke rear section. Any advice appreciated, Vern

Are there going to be any zeds left in this club soon?
Mine is staying...I'm confident there will never be a time where I'm without a zed or not looking for another :D

car started no probs after 4 weeks.
Mine's not been started yet this year! Reading this thread made me curious to go and see if it would start - started on first turn of the key :D

How old were you?
Lol. I bought her as a project that I intended to drive on a traders policy when I was 17. Still haven't gotten round to getting it MOTd though yet. Just need to get the exhaust sorted now :D
