  1. Hi everyone, im breaking my zed and need to find some cheap steelys so i can take the alloys off and still move it around. just need some wheels that will fit the stud pattern as im going to take the breaks off. cheers!
  2. wouldnt start on the na chip ether??? cant be a bent prong as used 2 different chips and it runs on a tt chip so the soldering should be ok, its the original ecu by the way, soldered in a socket which the chip fits into. did nissan program of their ecu's to only accept nissan chips?
  3. one thing though why wont the light go out on the diagnostic? it just seems that any chip other than a standard tt chip wont start it????
  4. Top advice thanks! :thumbup1:
  5. tt chip would overfuel and end up washing the bors out. Got my 1st chip from DTA so its a reliable source and the 2nd from someone my mechanic knows who specialises in mapping, dont know what company though
  6. wouldnt give much of an increase, about 12 bhp. the na injectors were on their way out so seemed like a good idea to upgrade as tt injectors are easyer to find. wont even idle on the uprated chip for some reason but does fire?
  7. i've fitted tt injectors to my na zed and it wont run. its starts, idles and revs on an standard tt chip but not on the uprated chip, i've used 2 different chips and nothing, the ecu is fine and have checked the loom and cant find any falts. Run a diagnostics with the standard chip and it came up with 55 which as far as i know is no falt found but with the uprated chip the light comes on and stays on, doesnt flash at all. if anyone knows what the problem is or could be please let me know because im all out of ideas on this one! :helpsmilie:
  8. Its a faulty chip! (few!) put the tt chip in and she starts, idles fine but misses when given some revs, i think thats just because the ecu now thinks ive got two turbos hanging off the side of the engine. so fingers crossed i can get a chip written and have the thing back by Monday night!
  9. Think this is ether a corrupt chip or nackerd ecu so this is the plan.... Fit a tt chip, if it starts then the chips no good. if nothing then borrow a tt ecu and try and start it with that. if it starts then its gotta be the ecu... i think....
  10. yeh 110% the right way round
  11. Cheers dude! just tryed the diagnostics and the red light just stays on, what does this mean?
  12. some more info, dont think its going to make any differance though. flick the ignition on and theres a noise from the fuel pump priming, doesnt do it every time though. im thinking its probibly just cause the systems already under presser and doesnt need to be primed again but not sure. the car drove fine before i started so dont think it pump related.
  13. HELP! just put tt injectors on my N/A and it wont run. got the injectors from zworld and fitted a chip that i got from DTA. it starting but not running. checked the soldering on the socket thats holding the chip and think its ok so what could be the problem? the injectors were used but were tested and fine. any help on this will be greatly appreciated!
  14. Thanks! Would I be better off staying with standard units or going for some uprated ones?I'm all for more power but can't spend to much at the moment so it would have to be a noticeable increase. Oh, and is there a difference between the n/a and tt injectors?
  15. Anyone know how much a new set of standard injectors for a jap spec N/A zed are? and were can i get them from?
  16. sorry for the hi-jack but how much would it cost to fit and spray a tailgate skin and low level spoiler?
  17. should have said its an N/A. checked it over and no vacuum leaks. it is drinking more than usual yes.
  18. Hi everyone! had problems with my zed missing/ cutting out when going from high revs to completely off the gas. changed the fuel filter, stripped down and checked the loom, cleaned up or replaced all the connections, checked the timing and it run perfect. then stopped for fuel and it started again. think its just down to not having any clips on the injector plugs and there vibrating loose? hears the thing, when its missing i get a lot of wobble from the steering wheel under braking which wasn't there when it was running properly.... any ideas????!! Problem no. 2, the fan in the roof runs with the ignition off, draining the battery, took it out but somthing is still live, is anything else on that circuit? going to have a look at the head unit as i fitted it when it was off road for a bit but apart from that im stumped. please help im going mad.....er trying to sort this out. :cursing:
  19. steering on mines a bit on the heavy side to, wide alloys don't help but i think the cars just have heavy steering. could have your pump checked out just in case its worn.
  20. Does anyknow were to get a fuel filter from? And how much are they?
  21. If I remember right the early n/a zeds have slightly different frount brakes to the tt, think it's about 3mm differance. Rears are the same on both. I changed the disks on mine for some groved ones and that seems to have worked well, plus it's cheaper than the brembo kit!
  22. ok thanks for the advice! think il keep it in, can always turn the sound system up if if the noise starts annoying me lol
