  6. just a thought for a meet, round 4 of the irish drag championship is on at st. angelo airport, enniskillen on Sunday 9th. sept, could we have a 300zx meet at this, the last time there was drag racing there it was very well organised and its a good surface, no excuse for the northern cars not to attend. the drag racing is open to all about 30stg. 50euro i think for an entry,

  10. sorry i cant do links, but a guy i know over here is thinking of buying a silver z thats on ebay at the moment, bidding ends tomorrow with no reserve, so just asking does anyone know the car, or what are you opinions on it or what do you think it will go for, its the silver with veilside front bumper and 4 pot rear lights, thanks trish
  11. yes we dont require model reports or anything to bring in a car from japan, so i could bring in a 99 spec z, after its cleared thats custom only, whats to stop me selling it on to someone in the uk. or can the uk person only bring it in if it has another eu reg on it, dont forget the vrt is only 2,500 stg so could be worth it to get a 99 spec, so dig out your long lost irish cousins :D
  12. nasty, tg you and all are ok, what kinda speed to do that damage if you dont mind answering
  13. still thinking on this, i dont think its an option for me to bring the car over now as i have to work fri and first ferry i could get would be 8am sat arring in holyhead 11,10am cost 400euro then drive to billing arr maybe 3 pm a lot of money and driving especially on my own however i could fly to luton for 75euro return which is only 30 odd miles away make my way to billing attend the agm have a few drinks meet people, i suppose what i really want to know is it worth going without the car. i was determined to bring it over this year but i had booked my time off for 21/22 july
  14. as far as im aware your fully comp ins from the zed covers you 3rd party to drive other cars as long as you are NOT the registered owner of the car all of the above are great in theory but its not till something happens that you find out exactly what your insured for
  15. about time :D how much did yhey rob you for
  16. im a very happy person today my car passed our National Car Test yesterday, this is like your MOT, except its every 2 years for any car more than 4 years old. my nct disc was out of date nearly 2 years (their not too strict over here) and its not required for taxing or insuring your car, anyway the car sailed through, here are some of the results side/slip alignment test front axle -2m/km rear-10m/km fail is front+14 to -14 back+18 to -18 outside suspension test fr axle nearside 31mm offside 29mm imbalance 6% rr axle " 25mm " 26mm " 4% above 30% fail brake effort 65% less than 55% is fail parking 45% " " 16% " " exhaust emmissions (limits depend on year of manufacture) engine/oil temp. 110 c low idle (760rpm) CO 2.46 vol% above 3.5 is fail HC 119ppm above 750ppm is fail wish i could use a scanner, im just curious how do these readings and limits compere to the ones on yor MOT. is there much difference? all the other stuff is visual, tyres, seatbels spare wheel etc etc. also headlight aim was passed
