  1. Sorry bit confused here, but arent the light circuits hooked into the dimmer switch anyway?
  2. How different is the idling now, since removing your DV's mate?
  3. Rofl i saw that too, was it a red one? and some indian bird? (I DONT WATCH PORN) ... i swear!
  4. John - Stockport / Manchester :)
  5. Yeah they where the reason i fell for this Z, im really fussy, not many wheels i like. Im after set of Kosei Snipers, but they stopped making them 4 yrs ago, grrr. :)
  6. Thanks Vijay, just what i wanted. You know i have the same wheels as yours on mine :)
  7. Ok whats your number mate? Mine is above, text me your number and i will call you back if you want.
  8. oh yeah i wondered about that, how do you know that AR valve is cause, is there a way of testing the unit? I know with the IAA you just whack 12v to each solenoid and wait for the clicks. I looked how to remove the AR valve, couldnt see any nut, just a hole where it looks like a nut should be, i suspect its been snapped off.
  9. Does anyone have a pic of the location of the speed sensor under the car, i have no way of jacking up my car, need to feel for it blind.
  10. Petes21st: Removing the IAA valve is pretty simple really, just remove the batt first, ive done it twice now. When dismantling the valve, watch for the springs, i lost one of mine, now stuck at 2k RPM permanently grr, after a replacement now. Grrr
  11. Its this thing i need, the whole thing, i think one of my solenoids is goosed too, grr
  12. Does anyone local to manchester have a spare IAA Valve the can spare, i, will to pay and collect of local enough. I was maintaining mine yesterday and took it apart, suddenly something went ping and it turns out im missing a spring! :headvswal :headvswal 07525910670 Cheers guys :)
  13. How did you get to the speed sensor? can you get to it when the car is sat flat?
  14. Im in Salford Quays mate, not to far eh :) Turns out i cant find that spring i lost, gonna have another look tomorrow. :headvswal
  15. Jeeez, ignore my last question, the SHOULD BOTH click! http://www.twinturbo.net/net/viewmsg.aspx?forum=technical&msg_id=920429
  16. My apologies for posting 5 times in a row. See above pic.... Should BOTH click when i apply 12V to them? the FICD Valve does click, but the AAC valve doesnt?
  17. haha, my god, i am thick. just figured out whats missing, there are 2 springs in this pic, i only have one, something shot out of the cylinder thing when i unscrewed it, was so fast i could see what it was, well now i know, goota o hunting round my car park now! grrr.
  18. Additionally, when i tilt the whole thing (when it was off the car) i couldfeeland hear something heavy inside moving. I tried blowing through the pipe to test if the solenoid was closed or not, at one angle i could blow though it fine, tilting the opposite way it seals it p, cant blow through. Is it duff? For reference its not the solenoid that moves when i tilt it, its the other cylinder thingy.
  19. oh well now ive done it now, took off the idle valve, not the screw, the whole thing. Cleaned it out, put 12v to it to test the solenoid, worked fine. put it back in, car isidling at almost 2k. Ive since adjusted the idle screw to every known setting, NO DIFFERENCE. Stuck at 2k RPM. Any idea? The other cylinder thing with the black connector 'socket', what is it? Looks like a sensor.
  20. Well ive just 'cracked' on with mine, i havent got a clu, fiddled with lots of things with the engine RUNNING, seeing if i can make a difference. I've confirmed the following. Not sparking issue, removing connectors DOES make a difference. Not Injector Issue, removing connectors DOES make a difference. Cant see any air leaks anywhere, i can hear air flowing, but it could be inside the pipes. Can that AIV Valve at the back rear of the engine, the one with the yellow plug, be removed? The the yellow connector is shot AND i can hear a sort of ticking noise around there. Any more suggestion guys? Maybe we should meet up (all us idling guys)
  21. hahah, yeah truly shameful mate, 14k later and it still runs like a bag of shite. Recommendations for an air leak detector anyone?
  22. LMAO, i thought i was the only that kept the aircon on to stop it stalling, really embarassing have a nice car like this and then stalling at the light in front of lots of honeys, oh the shame. Still havent figured what the problem is, can someone recomment a good safe leak detector?
  23. LOL m8, ask syko all about this, he knows what a long drawn out affair its been for me already, the rebuild took 2 years... Basically im wasting my time, cuz really they (Noble Motorsport) dont know what the hell is wrong, i got the 'its running in, so it will smoke for a while' story, it did settle down a bit, but it still smokes and leaks oil on the driveway, for 12k engine, im totally disheartened at the end result... One thing ive noticed though which you guys really should consider, is that when you hand your car over to these experts you think its in safe hands, but once youve left, they hand it over to the apprentice to do all the leg work, and the expert simply takes a quick look at the end. No offence to them, but i dont want any apprentice 'learning' on MY car. This i suspect is the problem with lots of the issues being overlooked but the junior mechanics they train up. To be honest ive always been wary of these cowboys, but what other choices do we have? This is one of these reasons i got Syko to do my gearbox conversion, that little bit of extra attention to the job at hand goes a long way. Hes a good man by the way, but a busy man and he lives miles away!! :P Anyway sorry for the rant, im sure lots of you guys have been where i am now :)
  24. No not the lung kind ;) Basically i jut wanna have a chat with someone very experienced, i have several issues with my car after spending 12k on an engine rebuild with a 'performance' company. It burns a lot of oil (smokes like a fooker) and leaks oil on the driveway, i have the speed sensor issue too that i cannot trace. Anyway ive since figured out that my pipe round the back of the engine (the oil breather PCV) is a long straight pipe, looks like an overide. Can someone text me and i'll phone em back to discuss. 07772 690 620 (i will call you back if needed) Many thanks guys. John
