  1. hahahah, you think thats odd, in my fiesta, i leave my car in the same state all the time. Radio 1 Seat set correctly etc. I came down to may car a few weeks ago. Seat was fooked up, radio was set to 102.9 and the main beams where on!!! Car was locked!!!
  2. Ok thanks Tudor. I think im just gonna get a replacement sensor, because mine is intermittent.
  3. I have a compression tester too m8, i dare not test mine though, after spending 14k on this engine which is now out of warranty, if compression was gone i would scrap the car and never buy one again. My idle problem is the same as yours, its not missing on high rpms though, cust im only getting 0.3 bar of boost, grrr. My plan is to go through this guide step by step: http://www2.zhome.com:81/ZCMnL/PICS/hesitation/hesitation.html You seen that guide before pete? Some extra bit in there ive not seen before. Although, the fact yours wont even start now is baffling, do you have another car to jump it with should your batt go flat? If not you have a limited amount of engine turns. If you get totally stuck i can come over with my compression tester and a set of jump leads and you can pop one of my coils in yours, do some elimination.
  4. No worries at all bud. :) The banks seem to have changed the speed of transfers lately. Anybody else noticed? These used to take me 5 days between different banks. Its about time too, 5 days for a transfer was rediculous. QUOTE: Dear Customer, Your Faster Payment was successful and has arrived at the recipient's bank who will apply the funds to the account within 2 hours. Regards, Halifax Online Helpdesk
  5. Which leads me to my next question :) Is there a way to test the speed sensor when its out of the car? guessing putting a meter on it and spinningthe gear???
  6. Sorted my fuel leak after replacing several pipes. Primed the fuel pump, went back to have a sniff, fuel everywhere again, so i started wiggling ALL the fuel pipes, turns out it was the main fuel pipe coming from the fuel filter. If i just touched it lightly, it would spurt fuel everywhere. The pipe was HEATING HOSE and the bore was way too big, no wonder it leaked. Replaced with real fuel hose and all sorted, no leaks at all! woohoo.
  7. Ok thanks eyes, Just to note AndyP, payment will have cleared instant. Ta

  12. Should the restrictor be in the drivers side PCV pipe or passenger one? mine smokes on idle too. I originally thought the restirctor was in both sides, but hve been told since that its only the drivers side. Also which side does the metal brush filter go into? Im told that is as equally important as the restrictor as it seperate the oil from the air. The reason i cant confirm either is that i dont have a drivers side pcv pipe, i also dont have the solid metal pipe going round the rear of the plenum... as details in my wanted ad: More for Jeffs Attention really: http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=120535
  13. LMAO, i hope you are kidding bud, that hilarious
  14. Holy Moly, that looks sick! Not even gonna imagine costs incurred..
  15. Yeah, google is a great tool ;) Do you not have a copy of the manual yet, worth getting it if you can. Says me, i still use google, or this site... :P nothing like a personal response ;)
  16. Promlem is as he states, can only get 300 meters before he loses drive, so he cant do the warm up procedure, unless of course he idles it to temp. :nana2:
  17. I know its not the best diagram, but its certainly a start: http://www.courtesyparts.com/300zx-parts-z32-1990-1996/genuine-nissan-parts/exhaust-cooling/211-water-hose-piping/-c-882_883_908_912.html
  18. Just for a laugh, dont gimme that, you sooo want one cuz you reckon its cool :slap: :tongue::tongue:
  19. can you imagine driving on those roads in a z!! Wouldnt last 2 mins. Although when i was in tokyo last year, driving on those swooping motorways late at night is an awesome experience at speed! They are deserted at night.
  20. Was totally thinking the same ban, book me in, even tho i dont know you! On scooters of course!
  21. God knows, i totally ripped all my air con system out, ripped = correct word! lol Someone must have replaced the fans before, someone will come along and give more helpful advice than me bud.
  22. Sounds like another issue then, can you hear the fans kicking in when the engine is warm.? For example, if its a cold day, and you turn on your climate control to auto, the fans wont work (or spin up) until the engine is warm, otherwise its just gonna freeze your arse off with cold air. If you dont hear any fans at all its a fan proplem, if you do hear the fans spinning up, then its an airflow gate problem, maybe a cable snapped off and left a gate closed. Dont envy you though, i leaving my till im desperate, its all hidden behind the dash, probably a full dash out for me.
  23. try passenger side too mate :)
  24. Same on mine, check to see if your have a thick vent pipe going across under the steering wheel, above the pedals. Thats whats causing mine
