  1. OK. Thanks for that info. The S2 pod is behaving like an S1 one, so I think I might have been sold an S2 pod, but an S1 ECU. The fan speed switch and direction controls are acting like the old Hi/Lo fan speed controls. I'll probably need to ask the seller on here for help in getting the right ECU. I did buy it a while ago, but it should work. Thanks again, Dave
  2. Hi. I fitted a replacement S2 climate control ECU and display pod today, but when I press the button to direct the air up to the windscreen, the Auto button lights up too. This doesn't seem normal to me. Also, I can't seem to vary the blower speed - the display doesn't change either. If someone could explain how the S2 system should work I'd be grateful. Cheers, Dave
  3. I had 160 on the clock, but I know the speedo reads just above 100 when the GPS reads 110mph! It felt too fast and dangerous, so it wasn't for long.
  4. Ah sorry. I thought someone would need more than the serial no. of the box! I think mine originally came from DTA Motorsport, so I'm not sure if they will help. Cheers.
  5. Hi everyone. I want to use my ConZult again, but the laptop which had the original software died years ago. I'm sure I've still got the installer for it, but does anyone know where I can get the activation code from? The s/n is xxx and p/n is xxxx. Cheerz, Dave
  6. I had a nightmare doing mine, but it has solid mounts and the only way I got it to line up was to loosen the upper engine mounting bolts too. It was almost impossible to get to the nuts, but it made it possible to tilt the mounts inward enough to get the engine to drop into place.
  7. I had all four wheels aligned, but the problem was still present. Today I noticed two bleed screws on the Hicas actuator - might be worth opening them with the engine running just in case there is air in there. Be careful if you do because I sheared one of them off today and had to weld a bolt to what was left of it to get it out!
  8. Thanks guys. This kit looks correct if our turbos don't have carbon seals. I think ours have dynamic seals IIRC? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Turbo-Rebuild-Repair-Kit-T25-T28-T25-T28-T2-/380332983019?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item588d9cc2eb This one specifies VG30DETT and it looks a little different. Probably a safer bet. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=150583641363&ru=http%3A%2F%2Fshop.ebay.co.uk%3A80%2F%3F_from%3DR40%26_trksid%3Dm570%26_nkw%3D150583641363%26_fvi%3D1&_rdc=1
  9. I've heard coke works too, but I just throw washing powder down and scrub it with hot water - seems to work quite well.
  10. I have exactly the same problem. I kept my old rear subframe, which I'm fitting this afternoon. I suspect the bushes or a Hicas problem with the existing one. If this doesn't sort it, I'm going to check out the front of the car. Hope you find it too!
  11. OK, thanks. Do you have any links at all?
  12. Hi. Just wondering where would be the best place to buy a T25 rebuild kit? Also, which kit is best for de-cats? Cheers, Dave
  13. Hey Dewi, what Vijay said is so true. Once you take a step back and allow time to pass, you'll see the situation for what it really is. My mistake was thinking about the best times we had after breaking up, but when I think back now I just remember her unrealistic expectations, her interfering mother and how stupid I was for putting up with that shite. Nice to hear from you again and we'll have hit the town one night.
  14. Another example here Dewi of meeting someone new when you least expect it. See - it does happen mate. I also used to look out of the window when I knew my ex would be likely to pass, but I now realise that was a huge mistake and only made me feel miserable and empty inside - don't do it, you're just torturing yourself and there is nothing positive to be gained by doing so. Sounds like you need a holiday with the lads this summer if you ask me. I went to LA and Vegas with some mates after my break up and met up with some really nice people there. It changed my perspective on life and my ex seemed like a microcosmic problem in a very sad place afterwards!
  15. I was once in a similar situation, watching my ex pass my house each day, eventually with someone new and it was very tough. 18 months later I decided to spend more time away from home and started living it up by travelling and socialising one hell of a lot more than I ever had. I have no regrets as these were probably the best days of my life and, lo and behold, even met my current partner this way. I never thought that I could have had fun again, move on and meet another girl until I made the decision to get off my ass and change direction. My ex married someone else, got up the duff and split up within 2 years of meeting him. Some girls aren't designed to be in relationships and she sounds like yet another excitement junkie from what you've said. It's hard to accept now, but there really are more (and better) fish in the sea.
  16. This is how that slimeball is running the country:- http://www.guardian.co.uk/uk/2011/apr/09/phone-hacking-scandal-news-world
  17. I did one and it only last 2 weeks. I'd trade it into Game or somewhere before it becomes a brick and you can't get the game out! They will warranty it if sold on and they have more money than us!
  18. I always admired these when I was a kid and remember seeing someone drive a brand new one at about 50 mph into a 4 ft deep flood. I didn't see it on the road for months afterwards!
  19. Handy, you can park two bikes at once.
  20. As the saying goes "Treat 'em mean, keep 'em keen." I used to think this was a load of *****cks, but it is true in so many relationships. You know you've got something special when you don't have to play that fooking game though. The longer you try with her, the less time you'll have to look for that special someone, who will make you feel like you should. As the others have said, you need time out to gather your thoughts. You can't make good decisions when you're still thinking about her. I've been there and looking back, I was a fool.
  21. I'm going in for Shed of the week with this:- http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/2529585.htm I'll be gutted if I don't win!
  22. It looks like it was originally metallic blue and the rear bumper looks like it's had a shunt. I used to own a 280ZX and that was terrible underneath, so god only knows what's waiting for the winning bidder!
  23. Cheers guys. Got the MOT done today. I just insured it for 24 hours and it only cost 9 quid.
  24. That could only happen if someone detonated a nuke. The days of long, hot summers have been confined to the history books it seems :(
