well if you got a T3 on a 2.0 is it going through an origional sized clutch? maybe it needs more clamping pressure?

hi all. i've had a bit of bad luck lately and now i've finished it off by pulling my back quite badly so... anyone in the wolverhampton area fancy doing 2 engine swaps on my Z's? i'm most likely going to have to give up on them for a year or two anyway now as the doc said the ride may do me more harm. :cry: i might even sell them all off if i get the right offer? just had enough now. the corsa will be for sale too and most likely the bikes (but i might just store them as they dont take up much space). not a happy chap at the moment. anyone about who wants to give a hand (and i dont mind paying properly) plz just get in touch. im on siraff@msn.com (rarely) or 07930168603 (all the time). cheers. si.

oil leaking onto it? shouldnt slip new or not. may be spongey when new but if its slipping on an RST (escort im presuming) there's a prob.

dead easy. you have half the ohms... use twice the speakers. sounds silly but its true and works. cant remember if you have to wire them in parallel or series but its one or the other. hmm... must try to remember...

600ci would be the big block though? will that fit in a Z?

it's always trying to change as its a sports auto 'box. it was primarily developed to make the car go as fast as poss then they added hold and normal mode to help in day to day driving. TBH i use mine in hold most of the time as it still has plenty of power but doesnt keep revving. feels nicer when driving normally. i usually use normal when im in a rush to get somewhere or for stop-starting (hold mode pulls away in 2nd and can seem a bit hesitant at junctions) and power mode is for those rare times when you have enough road and skill to have a play. i appreciate you having a 323 before but i've had one and its a different league in a Z. the main prob you get is when you're accelerating and the turbo's wind up. if it slips a little the auto 'box keeps trying to accelerate even as you lean off the throttle a little and thats what will get you in trouble. as a rule of thumb to keep safe, in the wet if you feel ANY slip whatsoever back right off straight away. otherwise they're a great car. even comfy for the performance you get. enjoy!

always wandered why i hadnt seen jeff posting lately. dont know the in's and outs but surely he was a good asset to the club? just seems like a lifetime ban of one of the bigger traders and a generally nice bloke is a bit like shooting yourself in the foot? like i said, i dont know all about it. si.

you pay tax that should get spent partly on the council. they should grit the roads. they didnt. buy a new Z and deduct it from your tax bill. ;o)

1. stay on 2. dont fall off 3. dont hit anything 4. ALWAYS give the bike a quick check over after leaving it anywhere people can get to it (they tend to fook around with stuff) 5. ALWAYS stay within your capabilities: if you can slide it about safely then fine but if you arent safe doing 30mph, dont - guaranteed to end up in tears sooner rather than later. 6. wear good gear. bit obdvious but i still see (mostly teens on 'peds) people wearing the most stupid things to ride bikes. T-shirt and shorts? 7. DO NOT use the front brake around slippy corners 8. if you must speed, at least have the brains to check for plod, etc first. if they catch you it makes everyone look bad, costs you money and points and sometimes jail 9. if you're going to top-end a decent bike make sure everything is good first. at 170+mph 2psi makes a big difference to a tyre on a bike and if the chain's old the centrifugal force can snap it. and if you're seriously going to be doing speed i couldnt say that removing or obstructing your 'plate would be good. just think how much money it would cost the government if no one got caught.

i dont think it would bother me anyway... just the difference between N/A and TT axle ratio will do me fine. lol and i like the idea of 6 gears to play with even if it doesnt make the car better.

so how much are the mods and bits to the eng/box likely to cost while its still out of the car?
