  1. Hey smithy i saw yours in the flesh yesterday ;) sneaked into jeffs and opened the bonnet ;) Took about 10 mins just to reach the catch tho hahahhahahahaha naughty me :D
  2. easy peasy just fiddly, no need to remove plenum, might need to move some other stuff out the way, You will need new hoese if they are the orginal ones, they will more than lilkely tear.
  3. will be a load of pants like the rest to of them. 5 mins to race a quarter mile and for some reason they downshift to go faster in a striaght line wtf? and continuously catch eachother about 20 times during the drag? doesnt makes sense lol but its still fun to watch i suppose lol
  4. Insurance w4nkers i hate them all.
  5. Ive been looking at that pic foir about 10 mins now :( what am i missing?
  6. 5mm spacers is just about enough thickness to cover the centre hub ring which makes it useless unless the spacers have hubcentric rings on them for the wheels to rest on? if they dont then this will give wheel wobble as the studs are taking up all the load.
  7. Protyre enfield = Sh1t Went back there 3 times coz it was not right, still isnt right i could visually see it was wrong, One wheel was sticking out more than the other so i had to adjust it myself to stop it hitting the arch, On throttle the car now goes to the left and off throttle to the right. They couldnt even tighten the traction rods properly, when i checked them they were loose, They are idiots there complete numpties. The worst part is i just had it sprayed and when he jacked it up from front he pulled the wing out and cracked the paint, YES i did get a discount however wow great.... If you wanna take your car there go for it, Pricks, I hate them always moody and act like they really dont wanna be there, not very helpful either. Most of them are aged under 20 pure amature people. Their wheel tracker sensors have stretchy cables holding them in (the things that you hold down luggage with) WTF???? So basically my tracking aint right and never has been so im annoyed and i might aswell go for the full track setup, at least il be getting my monies worth. Do not go to protyre in enfield........
  8. Do you have spacers fitted to the wheels?
  9. Dont ask me yet as the bloke let me down :( still getting this fitted at some point, Toad Ai606 interactive, texts you when the alarm has been enabled, a tracker can also be fitted, and loads of extras... not cheap though.
  10. Oooooo i need this done badly, Normal tracking shops just dont know what they are doing..... Anyone know if there is a place closer to london?
  11. haha, i was under my car today fitting whitline sway bars, also started p1ssing down so i did the same and stayed under the car got soaked but i carried on anyway hahaha, When doing the front sway bar one of the bolts started spinning inside the thread... Big DOH!!! so i had to weld a thread inside the hole but had to take the big plate bracket off that holds the tractiopn rods and sway bar brackets in, welded it striaght in there. Burnt my hands and neck with the welder and got soaked all worth it tho, I put the front sway bar on the stiffest setting, too much tho will need to get back under there and soften it up. Its never easy with these things lol
  12. Yep sounds like the symptoms of a clutch booster leak which means air is leaking and effecting idle. Yes you can block off the vac pipe Which is completely safe to do, no noise no air leak BUT you will have a very heavy clutch :( i hope you don't get stuck in traffic much coz it will p1ss you right off, i drove around with no booster for a few months and boy i was happy to have fitted a working one again. Lets just say my left leg is bigger than the right :D You can try and find a used one but they are hard to come by coz peeps use these as part of a manual conversion kit. iirc Z1 sell used ones which is where i bought mine ( $80 i think) btw new are around £300 AHHHH. Hope this helps
  13. Ooooo no this is terrible. At least your not badly injured silly piece of metal at the end of the day, Will be very easy to switch all your bits to an na frame and have loads of spares left over for what not.
  14. Yep get rid of that metal sleeve with a hmmmmm think i used a chisel, but i might have used a hack saw. It will eventually collapse on it self. If the bushings are one piece which im sure they are being energy ones, then its gunna be hard to press in with just ya hands,(unless your the terminator?) i used a home made bush presser inner :D Just a big thick 6-7inch bolt with adapters on the end and a nut on the end to squeeze the bush in, simple really. Yes i removed both hubs as i was putting them in a press to remove the hicas joints which wont come out any other way. Once the bush was all the way in but the lip hadnt popped out the other end i used a big C clamp to finish the job. the orange thing is the c clamp, i removed the little jiggly bit at the end so it fit just nicely on the end of the bushing rod (the gold thing) which was enough to pull the lip out. Get the bush in first then the little gold rods. (obviously) The big bush above the one im working on are the ones your trying to do. Make sure the little gap in the bush is in the correct position when fitting, the rear shocks have a little locator blip that sits in it.
  15. I would replace for peice of mind, water could slowly build up over time from moisture/condensation and cause arking/missfiring etc Never seen any for sale anywhere though,,, maybe you can just purchse the rubber top bits?
  16. The coilpacks seal nicely over them, I think just to protect from dirt/water that kinda thing. .
  17. You can use an na loom as he will be using the profec b to control boost so no need for the stock solenoids, think thats the only thing he has to take into condisderation on the wiring side, but i may be wrong.
  18. Very Sad, especially on a day like today. :( rip
  19. Yes they went striaght in ;)
  20. Car.mad stylings, Well for £30 im happy, just what i was looking for, Didnt fancy paying £150 for some FB tbh. They needed some rubbing down first though as the gel coat on FB is never perfect.
  21. The fog duct crew, lol Sorry for poor pics.....
  22. Number plate will be a sticker one. And will be fitted just above where the holder used to be.
  23. Looks better and more aerodynamic. ;) don't ya think? How did they fill it, erm with this filler stuff, Think he fibre glassed it first though il be seeing him soon so il ask for you.
