  1. i got it all working the stance is ridiculous, i fitted 225/40/18 and yep it is a bit low. Bullet have you changed your track rods also? I just had it aligned again today and there was plenty of length? but i see where ur getting at, that might be one of my next mods ;)
  2. u just got to remove the hicas rack and bolt in the new bar then screw in the track ends. You will then need to reloop the power steering pipes back to themselves when you remove the hicas solenoid. this will help you alot: http://www.z1motorsports.com/imageGallery/view_album.php?set_albumName=album248
  3. front has been raised a touch already anyhow, my suspension arm is now actually hitting the side of the top of the chassis, ever since i had it tracked and the caster pushed back. Whats strange is no one else has had this prob that i know of.... wierd......
  4. Problem is i got till thursday night to get all this done :(
  5. brakes wont fit, unless someone wants to swap my 20mm bolt ons with a set of 10mm or even maybe 15mm? :(
  6. wheels: et32 8.5x18 tyre: 235/40/18 spacer: 20mm arch: slighty modified, lugs bent back. status: very desperate. if im correct this would equal to a +12offset which is very if not too aggresive :( will these rub?
  7. Ive been getting nothing but stares in the zed now its almost finished, Even had a guy in a car in front open his door at the lights to look at the zed, i gave it some beans and at the next set of lights he opened his window and asked for my number lol.. OK!!! kids at the lights just stare and say mummy mummy look look at that car..... at my new job all the staff keep talking to me about the car non stop asking me questions etc all day, lol starting to get annoying. Even when working on the car on the drive people just wanna talk to me about it and ask to go for a drive in it etc etc.
  8. What adjustments did you make to counter understeer apart from more negative camber and more toe out?, Im a bit stuck on caster adjustment, iv had mine adjusted which pulled the wheels back to where they should be but im wondering if a little forward is better for overall weight balance ( having engine weight slightly more central than leaning over the front, Does that make sense?). Any idea on angles to give to the tracking shop? Also with the caster adjusted further back it has raised the front quite noticeably which is annoying as it doesnt sit as i want it, meaning i may lower it again requiring yet another alignment doh.
  9. maybe not lol, but to refurb will cost like 100-150 a shock!!!! add that to your purchase price and go from there.
  10. Dont refurb them till they need it, its just not worth it. For the money like mentioned above you could have bought a new set. Tiens are good for 50-60k miles, if they are no signs of leaks and everything is free and working then no need to.
  11. nice photshop mate, still thinking about it, but now that i have driven the dam thing ive noticed a few things i need to concentrate on :D car is also going back after amsterdam for some tuck ups etc still not quite finished really.
  12. Stuff :D few more suspension bits to fit, new wideband sensor as the other one has failed somehow!!! tracking 2mow i hope!! its all over the shop since the driftworks hicas arms. Lots of little detail bits to do, undertray, fog ducts etc etc lots of extras i cant think of right htis moment. Adjusted the clutch today as it was well out lol, hadnt driven till now and ve noticed lots of things.
  13. btw he broke my perspex strip but let me off £50 dam it :( iirc they are £40? need a new one. anyone?
  14. hehehahahhaaaaaaaaaaa have i? didnt realise. the 99 spec rear lights are copies. It needs a good going over, theres a little dent which he must have made after it was sprayed whoops, but he said he will sort it. Its not a great spray job which i was prepared for but im very happy how it looks, just wanted it looking fresh again, for the money its amazing. imo. Its porsche gt silver and vw metalic black :D
  15. Yeah i want the ducts, are they still available on ebay? thanks for the comments.
  16. still some detailing and bits to put back on .
  17. was a bugger stabbing it back in tho :( took me a while especialy on the drive way :(
  18. I know it might sound funny but open your bonnet and stand on the member and jump on it see if it goes back lol hahah
  19. fishing for compliments i say.
  20. if they are the ones then the spring rates are fine, the height and pre load are adjusted together which kinda sucks but thats why the springs have loads of length and compression, the helper springs also keep the springs in postion when set up on the lowest setting which realistically gives a lower preload rate. It also keeps the spring in postion when the shock reaches its full length over a hill crest.
  21. tein Hr are old school?
  22. Might as well work in Saudi Arabia.. oooooooooo did i go too far?
  23. lol not my ideal working environment to be honest uno.
