FAO LYMON gt25r turbo fitment, (inlet adaptation!!)
OR buy a silicon reducer then fit a metal elbow on the end and then a silcon coupler back onto the oem hose :D Silverbullet's setup like this which seems like the best option ......so far anyway. What about the actuator problem, i have no clue what needs doing in this region!!!! HELP

FAO LYMON gt25r turbo fitment, (inlet adaptation!!)
Anyone have these turbos fitted? What did you do about adapting the inlet? Using a silicon hose isnt really an option as it would be too close to the manifold, (Maybe IF it was heat wrapped?) And how did you fit your actuator? I hear this has to be moved and adapted also.... LYMON You out there????? i read a thread you posted in, iirc you have fitted these turbos, i saw pics of the fitment but the inlet wasnt connected yet. Can you share any info on this??? here it is: http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=47068&highlight=GT25R im already aware the engine mount has to be slightly grinded which is easily done.

if the pedal wasn't properly adjusted then it would have failed prematurely.

anyone know what may have caused this?
Ah yes i thought powertix were the carbing, so two types then and really the only option that will make a difference, I have to swap my cheap ass strut for one of these in the future.
-
anyone know what may have caused this?
ive replaced 3 lower arms already for different reasons, even got one free so id say lower arms :D Adjustble lower arms are on my list soon anyhow :D
-
anyone know what may have caused this?
Yes much stronger and easier to bend a lower arm instead :D
-
anyone know what may have caused this?
Bet they are not as shiny as the pics now hey ;) Yeah clearly u can see the design has changed, the old arms were too skinny nere the centre of the arm where all the stress is just at the centre of the thread where its connected to eachother.

Just for your infomationdez the powertrix arms have changed since you fitted yours mark, They probably realised the fault and improved the design..... Mine are powertrix and different to these in the pics. They have lengthened the rod which is attached to the joint and shortened the rod that is bolted to the lower arm, im no expert but i can see how this would improve the strength, the old design does look flawed and easy to bend. So by shortening the skinny part of the arm and lengthening the thicker part it should have less chance of bending? ps. this is the rear strut brace i was talking to you about at south mimms..... as far as IM aware powertrix are the only known manufacturer of this type of solid rear strut for the 300zx......

Been searching for alloys for about 3 months now....
they look far too big on that shorty though.
-
where should this go?
is it connected to the bracket on the side of the plenum?
-
where should this go?

Guess the weight of my zed?
I just had mine weighed for a laugh today, was 1520kg...... i think thats quite good as ive bolted quite a bit to it and also lost quite a bit of weight.... still thinking of dumping some stuff.

where should this go?

well its only kicking out 390flywheel hp and 316 wheel hp 340 torque at the wheel not the fly. there is alot of difference from wheel to fly. My next big mod is those turbos, which should see me past the 400 rear wheel horse power which is over 500bhp at the fly. So ya better have something special :D lol Didnt realise you had done that much to it by the looks of it, Kinda like a sleeper :D i like it, keep it up. I still have to figure out ways to loose weight, this big heavy chassis is letting it all down :( post some pics of the astra on this page mate.

I had the engine rebuilt, so everything was removed, i took things home and had my way with them. However it can be removed with enginre in just takes time removing pipes here and there. exceed, it hasn't enough power yet, Its simply running very rich on stock turbos at 15psi it has all the necessary mods to fit bigger tubs which im saving up for,,, VERY SOON..... its stripped of quite a bit of weight which helps all aspects of performance. braking, cornering acceleration etc

Thats exactly what im planning Im still building up to that, I need: dual intake uprated manifolds possible ported head!!! bigger rad Gt535r's/gt600r's with downpipes then a full remap should see me 400rwhp at least i hope
