  1. Every car differs, my settings will prob give different results to another car (autos have smaller compressors which will differ) especially if you have bigger turbos lol (soon come) Jimmer?!?!?! I run about 15.5psi on hi settings but i always tinker with them, on the track i try to run only 12-13psi just incase. I tend to switch from high to low depending on temp and wheather im on a long straight and theres a porsche in front or if im trying to catch someone lol :D to get 15psi with minimal spike and a drop of about 1psi this is what i use: rough values as im always changing them set 49-52 gain 30 start boost 120-130 I always keep an eye on peak and try to reset it as much as i can so i know how much its spiking, profec b's limiter is very safe.... big probs to greddy :D I bet if you used these settings it will probably differ.
  2. Zogg you have not mentioned one of the parameters. There are 3 parameters you can change to adjust only the boost...... there are 4 other gadgets tho. warning, limiter, peak, and last boost.. set gain start boost (think its displayed as set gain on the profec duno why.....) set: is your desired boost level, you adjust this by turning the knob when in display mode. im hitting 15psi at 50% gain: is your boost consistancy (sensitivity) if boost spikes lower this, if it drops off at high rpm increase this, you have to find a good balance, mine drops of about a psi top end. adjust this by pressing the set knob button once it will then display the gain which u can adjust. Start boost: this is the boost response, it basically adjusts when the wastagte starts to open. i would set this about 2-3 psi below your desired boost so mine is at about "120" 12psi Kirbz, What i think you might be doing is actually adjusting the gain which will give you lots of spike but then come back down to stock wastgate pressure.
  3. I dont have a jimmer enterprise engine build but id still give him one.....:P Soon to have a jimmer turbo fitment tho.....
  4. if thats a TT thats super slow......
  5. They are called spigots rings? yeah something so simple with give you wheel wobble......
  6. Every wheel has an x-factor which is how far the spoke is from the centre line, Find out your wheels x factor then calculate from where your calipers are at present and how far the new caliper extend out. Offset also depends on the wheels width, if you had an 8inch front wheel and compared it to joelys which i think is 8.5 inch wide there is a 1.3mm size diference which is 7mm difference in offset so your 8inch wheel will stick in an extra 7mm compared to the 8.5inch wheel, thats almost 1cm which is a visable difference, just something to think about :D
  7. I think it would be ok on a lighter car but on a front end heavy 300 i think it might be a bit too heavy, especially with wide wheels and tyres... on a sport hatch maybe but not a zed, ive turned my wheel full lock when the engines off and its way too heavy.
  8. :D and i still got the r888 on the front and falken on the rear quite fun (lots of oversteer) :D think the r888 make the steering even heavier as they are 245 wide and they come up fatter than normal tyres not to forget how sticky they are.
  9. Wooo was out having a drive, yeah i did have the speed convertor thing on, i did realise that i would have made the steering lighter but hey im happy its heavier now and i have no hicas light on. at about 100mph feels alot better, can feel everything now... Havent driven my car for a few weeks and today i forgot how well it handled, changes direction like superman. Im still thinking bout a switch to change for normal driving as it can be a bit much after gym which i just experienced. So who the hell was it who told me it might make the steering to light if disconnected? who knows.
  10. I always thought the zeds steering was way to light for a sport gt car, so i had a go and disconnected the hicas ecu and its now alot heavier which i like, I can feel alot more of the road and what the cars doing. :D I was always told the steering might become even lighter with it disconnected...nope. Im thinking about re connecting the ecu BUT looping a switch to the power wire so i can have it both ways light or heavy, light for parking and city driving and heavy for cornering. Whos with me? :D Those of you with hicas bypassed and are fed up with the hicas light on constantly... well its now off too :D added bonus for me.
  11. think i have some series one stock top mounts around somewhere mate....
  12. these will just get blocked up again from the crappy pcv valves.
  13. havent seen others pics yet, other nuts, maybe? btw the carbing is alot thicker than the usual strut braces.
  14. the stock mounts were suppose to fit so the thread is flush with the nut so its nice and tidy, those carbing struts are very thick leaving a little less thread...... aftermarket top mounts would not have this prob.
  15. Bullet have you got a diagram showing how u setup your catch tank for venting to atmosphere? Id like to do this soon.
  16. fook me..... to snap a tooth would need some serious force... :(
  17. jeoly, take the shocks off, hammer out the studs then fit some longer ones, or (pretty sure you wont like this one,) find some suitable bolts and give em one spot weld to hold them in so you can tighten them up without them turning, or dont spot weld them and tighten them up from top and bottom. Anyway these just hold the shocks in the correct postion the chassis takes all the force bolts just stop the shock moving about.
  18. na, it still whires away,,, hasnt goten any worse so ive learnt to get on with it.....
  19. buy an old honda civic with shite body work... that will be fun round the track with some good tyres and pads. or even an old celica,,,,, friend of mine had one with 300,000 miles on the clock never ever let him down once, unbelievable.
  20. na it wont be the rubber lol, pretty sure the ol box rattles at low rpm, just not as tight as they were new.
  21. mine has a whine in nutral and when driving but its been like that since i bought it, no change and ive thrashed it loads but it hasnt changed, good ol mt90 ;) ooo it also rattles at really low rpm like say 1500 then disapears.
  22. ah u should hear mine.... i love it tho, doesnt crunch in gears tho
  23. Dont worry about which way the split faces, once its in it doesnt matter, it will compress together whichever way it goes in.
  24. pppfffft easy job... i take it off for fun.....
