Should i use a zinc primer then a heat resistant paint? I bought some hammerite gloss black but its reacting to the metal, but seems to work when painted over the primer but im worried the primer will come off with heat? :(

Just prepared my balance bar and rocker covers for painting Thinking of either a nice glossy black finish or a glossy cherry red. What kinda paint should i buy? will i need a laquor? What colours would you choose? Im also painting my timing belt covers... but again not sure on a colour yet and what paint to use and laquor. thinking about polishing my CAS too heres some pics: rocker covers/balance bar block sprayed but scott: and heres a nice pic of my cracked ring on number 4.

Yes torque settings. Dont just tighten them or youl risk cracking the thread part, easily done i recon.

Its a zed of course it does hahahaha remember to tighten it back on correctly or you will crack the plenum.

I was told you can rev the tits off an engine straight from a fresh build but youl have a slightly looser build, you think race car engines are worn in for thousands of miles before a race? Obviously i would take it easy on a fresh build coz i want my engine to last well thats what im planning to do anyway :D
