id be interested in a drive/food meet ,im a too far away for night time pub crawls ,but a something like a monthly sunday afternoon food meet would be good

perfect mate , i tried halfords and other motor factors today without success only problem now is trying to resist buying anything else from them ,they have lots of tempting goodies i must resist i must resist i must resist i must buy those defi gauges

i thought about it ,but i managed to get a good autobox local to me so thats now been fitted, i may still go for a manual conversion later in the year once i,v saved up some more pennies

ha ha ,iv not long had the car ,the auto box failed within 100 miles of picking it up so its been on a ramp for most of the time ,thats when i noticed the teins ,the temp sensor was wonky as well and when i located the ecu to check fault fault codes it turned out to be mines upgraded ecu, and also found a starbo tt and autostart behind the panel below the steering wheel so have been unlucky and lucky at the same time lol

whilst under car iv noticed that it has tein adjustable coilovers iv been informed that you need "the keys" to adjust them anyone have these or know were i can get them as i want to raise it up a little as its far to low and i keep catching speed humps cheers

so what extra will that ecu give me then i dont think its been tampered with as the seal is intact the cars auto jap tt

i had a bad fuel smell as well and the car wouldnt start turned out to be the temp sensor ,have you done a fault code yet might be worth while cleaning the tempsensor conectors you never know

nice and quiete for me mate been seperated for a year now so went to see kids in morning then tinkered with car in the afternoon pub in the evening in fact may be pub again tonight lol went back to car and the code 13 has gone !!! now showing 55 took car for a spin and fooking hell what a differance ,i must have been in safety mode since i bought the car , came back checked codes again and hey still 55 and no smell of fuel as there usually is ,it must have righted itself ,result ,will still change sensor me thinks :hyper:

cheers mate just thought i wouldnt read the fault until the car was started and with the ecu being diconnected from its loom all night i just wondered if it would of cleared its fault codes overnight same as disconnecting the battery have tryed to clean up connections again so will try it again but i recon the sensor itself is knackered as the connectors didnt look bad

if the ecu has been unplugged overnight would this reset it as iv just plugged it in his morning and the fault code is still there although i havent started the car

tap in fault code in the seach go onto the thread ecu code reading fault then second post down theres a link ,sorry dont know how to cut and paste links

hey its easy i just did it for the first time today ,followed the instructions i found on a search trust me if i can do it then anyone can

whilst doing a diagnostic on my ecu i noticed it has a gold plaque on it with mines on it although there is a nissan sticker on the bottom of the ecu is this normal or is it an upgraded ecu also when i dropped the panel below stering wheel i found a small electonic gizmo that was unplugged from the loom it goes into a black box with starbo 6-12 on it then into loom ,i plugged it in and it lit up with number on it it looks like turbo timer but i dont think it is as when i randomly pressed buttons it cranked the engine when the ignition was on any ideas

well thats it then cars not getting its crimbo prezzy then lol just done an ecu fault code check and its flasshing 13 so looks like a fooked temp sensor anyone have one

i,ll give that a try ,tried a forum search and it seems to point to a temp sensor as a possible culprit can this also couse these symptons and oh merry christmas everybody :hyper:
