  1. I wasn't really being serious, just wondering how the timing belt snapping could cause it!
  2. Do the spark plugs move up and down like the valves?!
  3. can you not just measure the inside of the plastic cover?
  4. I haven't got my Zed here at the moment, but I've just been out and measured one of the tyres on my mini (it's not that I don't trust you Legrath;)). The tyres are 165/60/12. The tyre wall measured around 75mm (using a crappy 15cm ruler!) from the outer edge of the rim to the largest circumference of the tyre (ie the very outer edge, not just where it starts to curve away). According to 60% of 165 it should have been 99mm. How's that then?! Should the measurement include the lip of the tyre behind the wheel rim?
  5. I've made a scale diagram of a 17inch wheel with a 235/45 tyre, one going on 106mm tyre wall, and the other 53mm wall:
  6. Except it is ;) but what dimension of the tyre is that exactly? If it were the tyre walls either side of the wheel added together then that would seem to fit, making the distance between the outer edge of the rim and the outer edge of the tyre 53mm(ish).
  7. No way is the tyre 105.75 mm tall!
  8. a jet powered Zed... Wow! Looks really nice. Is that a standard paint colour? It is blue isn't it? I've not seen so dark a shade before, or is it just the light?
  9. I haven't laughed so much in a long time!
  10. "You really need the auto version of this car or else you would be forever changing gear." ?????!!!!!!!
  11. I'm jesting with you mate, look at the number plate :) (I don't normally sign myself off with my full name 'Phillip William Townsend')
  12. made good reading though!
  13. just though I'd better let you know that that's my car you've got there. Regards, Phillip William Townsend ;)
  14. My brother was given a match box model of a Z32 (yellow) when we were very young. It always won when ever we had a race around the sand pit (cos it looked so cool), even beat my favourite MR2. It's been my favourite/dream car ever since.
  15. I'd be a bit nervous 'dragging' round an island, assuming you're side by side that is, doesn't give a lot of room if you start going sideways.

I really can't understand how people can do things like that to such a beautiful car. But then again, I think that about a lot of the cars on here so I better shut up :x:...
  17. Maybe he thinks it looks good and wants to get one the same size? In fact I'd quite like one that size.
  18. Is that the exhaust on the side there? If so, do you not burn yourself when getting out?
  19. I quite like the wheels, but that's where it ends....:hurl:
  20. sorry, my posts are just really vague and not much help at all!
  21. is it the arches that are scraping or the car scraping the ground? I assumed it was the car scraping the ground, in which case whether it would lift it enough depends entirely on how much it's currently not clearing the bumps by.
  22. If you went up an inch in wheel size, and kept the same profile tyre, then you'd raise the car by half an inch. However, I think people usually go for a lower tyre profile when upping the wheel diameter, so in actual fact it would be less than half an inch.
  23. don't worry about getting another card made up or anything, I can cope with Phil82, was just being picky!
