  1. You're probably going to hate me for trying to bring the subject of God back up, but... If we weren't designed and created by and outside being, then if you think about it, being gay is as natural as anything else you can do, in fact it's not possible to be 'unnatural', because we define 'nature' (that's not what I believe BTW)
  2. was that second hand then for £500? Or is it not real leather. Looks absolutely stunning anyway (though like some others am not sure about the top piece). That's pretty much what I'll be aiming for with mine (long way down the line though!).
  3. Looks great. Are you going to chop the fixing posts down?
  4. Yes. I'm guessing you're not then?!
  5. But if you believe that God is outside of time (he created time, along with all the other dimensions we know), then the problem of where God came from is irrelevant, the question no longer makes sense. The whole concept of creating and building on is based with in a time structure. I believe that God is outside of time, and so simply 'is'. I completely agree with KIM when he says that this is an argument that no one will ever win (or at least not in this life:D), as no one can prove anything either way. On one level I must admit that I do rather enjoy debating this subject, although on another level, as a dedicated Christian, I do think it is actually very serious, but I don't think this is probably the right place to start preaching:)
  6. why is that so unplausible?
  7. And so these needed elements have simply always existed, there was no start? Why is believing in a God, who lives out side of time, and so is able to create the 'needed elements' and time itself, such a crazy and unreasonable thing to do? How is it any more crazy than believing the stuff simply always existed? The very fact that a human being can ask themselves 'why do we exist' suggests to me that there has got to be more than just the physical. And is that a crazy thought? Why can God not exist? He doesn't invalidate any proven scientific theory, he sits along side them very nicely. If you stand back and look at the whole universe, going back to when it was a random collection of elements (if that's what you believe), up until now with lifeforms of a complexity way beyond our (current, in you like) comprehension, is there not a glimmer of a thought 'why' it should all be? Now you all say 'yes, that's all God is, a nice simple explanation to keep people happy concerning the big questions of life' - yes, God does explain the big questions of life very nicely, but how is that a reason not to believe in him? What evidence does that fly in the face of?
  8. found the ones you were on about, really like it, get some decent ones taken soon!
  9. and yet believing that everything was formed by evolution... from nothing... is highly sensible?
  10. OK, I don't think that 'true science' is a religion. The religion that I am really referring to is Atheism, but which so often masquerades itself as 'science'. If you think about it (and going by the given definition that "Religion is based on faith without evidence") atheism is as much a religion as any of the others - no one can possibly have factual evidence that God doesn't exist, yet so many so called scientists seem have have incredible faith in his non-existance.
  11. The theory of evolution is that gradual development, after a long time, causes a new species to be formed, otherwise we'd all still be amebas, or whatever it was that started the whole process off (...that'd be... nothing... that suddenly turned into something... mmm). I completely agree that God doesn't need to be kept out, I believe that God and true science fit together with each other perfectly. However, I also believe that people look to science as a means of negating the need for God (quite possibly subconsciously), because they don't like the idea of someone telling them how they should live their lives.
  12. Can you give a single example of one species evolving into another one? True, but it would appear to me that 'science', which should surely be a simple 'search for truth', has instead become a search for 'materialistic explanations', ie a determined attempt to keep God out of the picture.
  13. give me some evidence for evolution then
  14. Sounds almost identical to how mine was, bit frustrating but I was kind of expecting it being a UK car. Mines at Zedworld at the moment getting it all sorted, I guess Zedworld would be quite a distance for you though.
  15. Including the religion called science?
  16. JOHNWAYNE300, when are you going to get some pictures of your Zed in your rides section? It looks awesome in that very small signiture picture you've got.
  17. I feel like I'm doing 50 when doing 90 in the Zed! But then again, my previous car was a mini (proper).
  18. That looks identical to a NA I looked at about a year ago, had a TT bumper on it, whose pain didn't quite match, had the blacked out rear lights and had the exact same Momo wheels, mmm...
  19. Thanks chaps, gives me some idea of how long I'll have to wait!
  20. How much do these various setups cost? I'd like to lower mine slightly, but currently have no idea what sort of costs are involved (I take it a bit more than my mini which cost about £80 to get the adjustable height!)
  21. I sold a power supply on ebay a little while ago, it was one I bought by mistake and I missed the 7 day return thing, so thought I'd see what would happen on ebay - went for 1p! Last time I list something with a 1p starting bid! (cost £2.19 in postage)
  22. While we're being picky: "I have kept almost every receipt for anything I have every purchased" ;)
  23. Yes, got the note, thanks :)
  24. Got mine yesterday, thank you very much. The Key ring is quality! EDIT: actually, the day before yesterday, forgot what day it is.
  25. 2+2, simple, 2 wheels at the front, 2 at the back! I notice that it's the rare 30 litre version as well (3000zx).
