  1. anyone got any pictures from a bit further away, so you can see them in context with the car. Can't decide whether I like them or not.
  2. It's not about trying to be a 1999/2000 year car, it's about making it look good! The 99 spoiler is the spoiler the car shoud have had from the start. Just look at one from the back, it perfectly follows the line of the car round over the top, then from the side it gives you the gorgeous lines of a smoothie, but with the added benefit of a spoiler! It just looks right for the car. All IMHO (although my opinion happens to be right:D) I'm OK then, mines a 93 :D
  3. your mind obviously works in a worryingly similar way to mine! (I just didn't bother posting it)
  4. 99 all the way! Legrath, that car looks stunning I love this pic too:
  5. Do you know where you can get an OEM one without the red stitching, as that's all I seem to be able to find?
  6. That's not the one in the first picture! Seriously, I hate all aftermarket body kits on Zeds. I'd actually be very surprised if anyone on here disliked them more than I do. But there are some I hate more than others, and I honestly don't think the kit shown at the start of this thread (not the one above, that is hideous) is the worse kit I've seen, or even the worst on this forum, yet everyone is completely slating it!
  7. where is the petrol light? Mine's never come on, but I can't see where it would be if it did.
  8. I get the windscreen wipers going though when I press the head light washer button, is it meant to do that? Seems like something might be wired wrong to me!
  9. Is there a common reason why the headlight washers would not work (UK car)? The normal windscreen wash jets work fine. If I press the headlight washer button with the lights off I get absolutely nothing. If I press it with the headlights on, I get the click of a relay and the windscreen wipers go, but nothing from the headlight washers, no noise of a pump or anything. Any idea where I should look first? I know they're hardly important, but I'm the kind of person that likes a car where everything works that's meant to work! Thanks, Phill
  10. interesting wheels, can't decide whether I think they look odd, or really like them (maybe both!).
  11. I am very jealous! Hope to do some road trips round that sort of area soon though.
  12. I don't see what's quite so bad about the kit pictured, I think there are a lot worse on here. But I'm not a fan of kits in general.
  13. looks really good, that's exactly the sort of thing I'm after for mine at some point. Do you mind me asking how much all the leather was from Zcentre? The link on their website doesn't go anywhere.
  14. Paint your trim with Plastidip to make it look like new, then with the money you've saved buy some new 99 spec OEM rear lights from Zcentre.
  15. pics please (when they're installed)
  16. What did it say, what did I miss?! Bumper/spoiler looks very nice. When you've fitted it make sure you take some pics further away so you can see it in relation to the whole car. A stillen lip spoiler is the one thing that would tempt me to break my 'no aftermarket body styling' rule!
  17. No, I've not bid yet. I don't know how much they're likely to go for, but I was going to bid no higher than £200. So if you (or anyone else here) is prepared to go higher then I won't bother bidding (and risk needlessly pushing your bid up). Let me know. Phill
  18. is that meant to mean you are bidding?!
  19. has anyone experienced any problems with ebay recently? I've just been trying to sign in but it keeps telling me my user name or password are wrong. I was pretty sure I put them in correctly, but I clicked on the 'forgot password' link to get them to send it me in case I changed and forgot (perfectly possible with me), but no email has arrived. Wondering now if someones hacked into my account and changed my password and email.
  20. Is anyone on here bidding on these? I'm very tempted, but there's no point two people on here trying to outbid each other.
  21. Si always says what I'm thinking but decide against actually writing!
  22. I had mine assessed back in November I think, was quite a bit that needed doing - brake discs all round, both hicas arms, some welding and couple of other bits! It's all done now though, was just picking the car up last Sat.

on a slightly related note: I always thought, based on how the 'x' was introduced when they put 2 extra seats in the 280z(x), shouldn't the LWB Z32 be called the 300zx, and the SWB Z32 the 300z (no 'x')?
  24. No sorry that wasn't me, I was the chap that came in while you were talking to him. I didn't catch his name, but he said he wasn't on the forum anyway. My Zed is black but has stock exhausts at the moment! How did your Zed fare in the assessment?
  25. Driving is a funny thing at times I find though. I'm one of those people who just really enjoy driving (as I assume are many on here) - when others moan about having to do a long trip, I get excited about the thought. However, on the few occasions that I've been out for a drive, purely for the sake of a drive, I'm nearly always disappointed! It seems that for some reason I only really enjoy driving when there's a reason for doing it ie to get from A to B. It's probably just one of those 'expectation' things, if you're not particularly expecting to enjoy something, you often do enjoy it, and vise versa.
