the .torrent file really acts as a pointer and allows you to find other users to swarm with. You then can download bits of the file you need from those who have seeded the file. You download the file in pieces from different users and eventually the file download is complete. HTH

Not going to comment on the pension or healthcare gig but I don't think his request for you to meet the programmer is too much to ask. If you are going to be working with him then I'm sure he will want some feedback from Tom and it would be good to meet with people you are going to be working with as you may not take to him. Does sound a PITA though overall. I would stick working for yourself bud. I do the same kind of thing as you and I don't know if I could go back to working for someone else again, and as for commuting fook that for a game of soldiers.

Surely that is down to developers programming for a specific browser rathen than making their applications cross browser compatible I can't speak for java apps but I haven't had any trouble except for websites that don't follow web standard programming, which they should. I have always found Opera the most web standard browser. If it works in Opera correctly then it will more than likely work in Mozilla. Conquerer is a fairly good browser as well but I believe it is only available under Linux, not windows.

sure is ... I have been using it for years. I only ever use IE for development purposes. I would recommend Opera as well.

That was a google search ... don't know if it works but worth a try ..

Open Internet Explorer. Now open another instance of Internet Explorer so that you have two running at the same time. In the second one, right-click a link and select Open In New Window. If the new window does not start in full screen, simply resize the window by dragging the edges out to the sides of the screen. Do not use the max button. Close the first window by selecting File, then Close. Now close the window you just made full size. But close it by holding down the Control key and selecting File, then Close. Do not release the Control key until the window is closed. Now close the last Internet Explorer window. If you do this right, the settings will stick. You may or may not have to reboot, depending on your operating system.

Not me mate ... that is one time of the year that I take it easy .. I never work Christmas eve, I spend the day baking, preparing the vegetables for Christmas day lunch, wrapping presents and getting the tree in from the garden and in the evening we just chill and dress the tree together with a bottle of wine. It is one of my favourite days. If there is any shopping to do, I always shop online as I hate crowds and I'm not exactly a people person. ;)

Quite correct .. it was originally a pagan festival .. I love Christmas, I like it because its great to spend quality time with the ones that you love and hold dear. The rest of the year is so frantic, everyone rushing around all the damn time. It gives me the chance to relax. There is nothing better than a walk with the woman you love on a frosty morning with the leaves on the ground and no-one else about. It is too commercial these days and that annoys me, as well as the adverts on TV and all the shite in the shops, so I don't go shopping in town .. I use the internet and have done so for many years. Roll on I say .. can't be arsed with the religious side of it, however it does give you some time to reflect on the year and to enjoy yourself and as for Christmas dinner, I love it LMFAO ... :rofl: Happy Christmas everybody!!! :nana2:

Really sorry to hear this. What a waste of a young life, at least he was doing what he wanted to do and believed that he could make a difference in some way. Nearly every other day we hear of another loss of life (those that get reported anyway). We should be proud of all our serving soldiers, they do a shit job in difficult circumstances and put their lives on the line nearly every day. I for one will have a drink for him tonight. RIP
