TPS Fault ???
The problem with been unable to adjust the tps can be an ecu issue but more likely a wiring issue and NOT always with the tps cables. Tricky issue you have there, the wiring loom has many screened cables and the screening on these cables comes to a common point at one end, a wiring fault on another sensor to its screen will impact on other sensor readings. I have found this a few times and even wiring the tps completely often does not cure the issue, in fact as the tps and temp sensor use a common return it is the most likely cause and rewiring both sesnors can be the only fix. In common with lots of zed wiring issues there is a chance it is intermittrent and you may well find checking on another day it is ok...flipping maddening that is in the workshop let alone at home on your own zed. The issue with the stalling out when entering the tickover mode on ConZult is caused by too low a base idle, try setting it higher before starting the engine. Good luck. Jeff TT

Door open light always on .....
The relay been warm suggest the coil is energised as I mentioned, so basically the relay is working, if it was stuck in it would not be warm as the current passing through the contacts would not cause any heat, in contrast the coil that operates the relay will get warm. It sounds like an earth short triggering the relay, the alarm could be the culprit, check to see if a bonnet pin is fitted, this could be badly adjusted or shorted. If there is no bonnet pin or its ok remove the sill plastic strips and flip the carpets back a little, by following the cable from the door switch you will be able to see any alarm connections, just disconnect them for testing. engine check light on poor running
Mmm..the only way the engine check light can be on at the same time the electric fan running is a corrupted eprom, this can also be due to a bad connection or short at the solder point or pins, the fact you have swapped the chip out confirms the diagnosis. Jeff TT

Door open light always on .....
For the relay to be warm it means the coil is energised which in turn means that either one of the door switches is triggering it, remove the fixing screw on each door switch and relay should de-energises, if it does then see which switch it is and go from there. If the relay is still energised then its likely one of the cables is earthed, this can be caused by a trapped cable but a very common cause is alarms been connected to the door cables to trigger when armed, a back feed causes the problem. Revolution Sensor
The revolution sensor is fitted on the outside of the autobox on the front section on the passenger side, the exhaust can be troublesome to get past but depends upon what system you have fitted, replacement sensors come with a long loom to splice into the original autobox cables, not a common issue to be honest have you done a diagnostic and this shows open circuit? could be a cable issue. Unusual bodykit zed and clutch issue
The zed with the unusual bodykit that was mentioned a few days ago has revealed its clutch horror story today and I thought I would share it. We knew it was never going to be pretty, the complete lack of any drive and the pungent smell from the bellhousing area served only to persuade us to not mess about and just pull the box. The pictures reveal all, with most of the plate lining material deposited around the bellhousing and the cover plate fingers, but the sight of a naked drive plate was enough to make this a serious Kodak moment, enjoy.... how many miles has your vg engine lasted
Griff 925 here has a left hand drive European model which is basically a UK and Jap spec zed mixed into one, after owning it for 10+ years he pulled the engine out for a rebuild at 250k miles yes 250 THOUSAND MILES and in that time it was still on original turbo`s etc. rebuilt it as he had the time and thought it a good idea not because it needed it. Its all down to care and maintenance with sympathetic driving, oh and a good deal of luck of course. Jeff TT

urgent help required.
Most likely the pump motor has failed /seized. Unfortunately the only solution is to replace it,check at the pump connector for power when the switch is operated. Bit of a mare to get to, undo the undertray at the bumper end where it passes under the intercooler area, the connectors can be some times a bit fiddly to uncouple and some times cutting the connector off is the only solution. Can i drive with expired mot?
Unfortunately, even though you are an upstanding motorist who has got his car fixed there are many who do not and will flout the law, the cops have to draw a line some where. As Richard said its a grey area and not worth the risk, image a simple rta like running into the back of someone, your insurance would be void the cops would do you for no insurance and no mot, what a mare that would be. Jeff TT

Can i drive with expired mot?
Without a valid MOT certificate you have no proof that the car is roadworthy, and the cops will know you have no current MOT before even stopping you as it is all on the data base and the ANPR camera`s will alert them. The only time your covererd to drive without a vaild certificate is on the way to a pre-booked test or retest by the shortest route. I know all this because I watch police interceptors! :D http://www.channel5.com/shows/police-interceptors Jeff TT

Help with customer care issue
Thanks to all of the posts some real valid points and some real useful feedback, we already do operate a refund or replacement on used parts if they fail in an unreasonable time and in this case will continue to communicate with the customer until he is 100% satistfied, there was no agenda as I said at the begining more of an information mission which we can use to improve our service even more so, and as mentioned by a couple of you guys who did not agree with the openess of this discussion then thats your view and is fine, of course this thread subject had the potential to bit us in the bum and I knew this when posting but I consider improving our service out weighed the risk. My conclusion to this is a very positive one and again thanks guys for all of your comments, I will take many of the points made and especially with e-mails and pm reply times ( thanks Steve...your right  ) Jeff TT

Help with customer care issue
Mmm.. agree that getting the balance right is important and as I cannot offer a replacement part I will refund the original injector cost so as to take teh sting out of the situation as it were. Still leaves me not completely satisfied, like we have failed somehow, I know that used parts can be a bit of a lottery and it was not like its a million pounds but still..... ok well keep the comments coming, really helpful guys. Jeff TT *UPDATE* This place really rocks, a member ( will not name yet) who is booked in has offered to supply us with the parts we require to help this customer out, BIG thanks you know who you are:D

Help with customer care issue
Mmm.... never aring things in public is the very readon so much BAD practises carry on, any business that is afraid of transparent dealing likely has something to hide, the garage / parts trade has had a bad public perception for as long as long as I remember and that is a long time, its this very perception that makes our daily duties harder just to prove ourselves, bit like women in the workplace I guess.
