  1. Just dealing with a brand new set of Japspeed adjustable rear upper links that snapped less than a week after fitting, waiting on their comments at the moment, I have feeling what ever make you use they are just not up to the job on British roads. Jeff TT
  2. Thia is infant school question as far as zeds go, this very fault has come up so scores of times in the past years its almost legend, you do have a knack of upsetting people though. The lighting fuse is as Ian mentioned the control for the side, dash, rear and front side lights, the dip beam also use this feed to operate them so no side light fuse no dip beam , all other lights have their own fuses. Jeff TT
  3. Possibly flooded, best bet is to try and unflood the engine, but first check the temp sensor is a good connection as that could of been the culprit anyhow. So remove the fuel pump fuse and crank the engine over with the your foot flat down on the gas, do this for 5 or 6 seconds and stop, pause and then do it again, keeping your foot on the floor. Pause again and do it for a third time ( battery needs to be good for this) now switch off the ignition, replace the fuse and try to start the engine but do not touch the accelerator pedal, if it starts great, if it trys to start but not quite you still have wet plugs and the first four need removing cleaning. drying, whilst they are out turn the engine over with the fuel pump fuse out again. If however it makes no difference at all then you may have an ignition/ spark issue or even an imobilser issue, they often cut into circuits that draw too much current for the imobilser relays/ cables. 4. Breaker, breaker breaker breaker, breaker, breaker, breaker breaker breaker, breaker, breaker breaker breaker breaker, breaker. You will have a pm in a minute or so matey Jeff
  5. Somedays I despair of this forum, this is a car forum is it not? mostlly patronised by the male species is it not? 2012 modern man, you will all be discussing skin cleanser and moisturiser next ! Jeff TT
  6. No need to buy brand new, we have plenty of those in good condition available on the shelf, however you have some serious corrossion there. Jeff TT
  7. It is only the drivers side that will need attention and if you fit it up loosely you will be able to judge where it needs dressing Mark it with a thick marker pen and remove again so the dressing can be done as neat a possible. Jeff TT
  8. Its a British thing......... be proud and dunk them correctly. Jeff TT "annual awards known as the Ig Nobels. 'A classic example was in 1999 when Dr Len Fisher from Bristol University won the physics prize for calculating the optimal way to dunk a biscuit.'" 9. Outer rear sill is parts of the rear quarter panel, cut as little as you can as you will need to reinstate it after, the swage line is the most commonly used place when refitting the pre-made outer sill panels that are available, or if making a new outer sill up you may not need to go that far up, added some pics below of our website to show how ones we have done in the past. Jeff TT
  10. Care to enlighten me quite what the switch is your refering to and what normally makes them fail....just wondered as many times these topics are spoken about and what does it actually mean? is it a routing switch ? Cheers Jeff TT

Jeff TT My Brother Alpina
  13. Heritage Motor Museum Gaydon, Oxford. Attended a super BMW show at the above venue, which also gave you acces to the motor museum, there is a days worth of viewing inside!!! super spread of cars from vintage to modern, here are some inside and some of the Beema show after. Door denting is driving me nuts, as the Beema had been in the paintshop I used my nissan everyday the past week and bleeding guess what!!! a fliiping dent right in the middle of my passenger door ! Argh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! cannot get me head around this now, I always take care where I park and often do the diagonal park across two spaces. Hopefully the z can be fixed by one of those mobile dent repair guys as the paint has not be broken. Jeff TT

  18. Hiya, ok I know its a BMW and an unashamed show off, but then after the work I did the past week or so on this little miss I thought it be nice to show a few pics. Have not quite sussed it out yet but somewhere I park the near side rear keeps collecting door dents from careless doors been opened onto mine, after the last one I could not stand the bruised look any more so stipped the bumper and trims lights etc. and off it went to the bodyshop for a rear end repair and repaint, the back door has 6 dents in !! and the rear quarter 3! jeeze one was so high it must of been a friggin lorry door, drives me mad I am so careful to not get close to other cars but you bet when I return to mine someone parked up really close argh!!! So he we go, last pics show the new gloss window trim and glass gloss door sails from the US, completed the build up Saturday Afternoon and trhen had 6 hours of cleaning and polishing. Jeff TT
  19. No........ Get some heat on the nut, a blow lamp will be enough. Jeff TT
  20. That is a strange looking kit, what fittment is it. Jeff TT
  21. The correct HID kit should look like the one below, the oval plugs are for internal connections the smaller spades on the blue and black cables are fitted into your rectangle connecter. The main beam is a seperate connection so do not worry about that. Jeff TT
  22. Biggg pain in the rear job, full front belt strip, pulleys, back plates, 4 cams removal, so deep set in the heads its like mining for coal, not a nice job, why you thinking they need doing? Jeff TT
