  1. In the workshop today I had to remove a 3 year old injector due to leaking fuel, which is at least for a different reason than the usual failed unit. Now the trouble was this zed had 555 injectors and not wanting to break the injector when removing I was a little apprehensive as it was removed but it came out very easy as the rubber sealing ring was not holding it as tight as it should be. The seal is damaged and must of happened when it was fitted during an engine rebuild the owner had done previously, hard to understand how it had lasted 3 years but thats zeds for ya! After cleaing up fitting a new sealing ring and refitted all was well again and leak free. Jeff TT
  2. Yes that was right, can be difficult to identify it in any normal installations but yours was something else!! do you ever hear anything about it now? Jeff
  3. Mmm.... new owner did not know the condition I guess. Jeff - - - Updated - - - No problem, prevention is always better than a cure as the saying goes!! Jeff
  4. A zed came to the workshop last week presenting some odd running problems, the ConZult was showing reasonable settings but if left ticking over slowly get slower and stall, the pick up was just not right and unstable, on a hunch I removed the elderly looking HKS mushroom air filter and once the afm was seperated it was clear the foam filter had started to break up and the afm air flow was getting blocked by the foam bits, a new filter and a clean out and all was good again, worth checking if you have one of these kits fitted. Jeff TT

  6. Sorry my mistake, got confused, I thought you meant the 10th flash was different and hence code 10 I take it you mean 10 equal length flashes after the first sequence start long one, so as you thought you have a clear no fault result there. Jeff TT
  7. The first long flash is the sequence start signal so the 10 flashes after is the code, be aware code 10 can be caused by a prior low or flat battery. Jeff TT
  8. Yes thats correct. Jeff
  9. Just replied to you pm, if the air regulator is going wide open the noise your hearing could be the air going through the assembly, try clamping the S shaped rubber pipe with long nose pliars or similar. Check the tps hard idle switch this will raise the revs if the setting or even the connection is bad. Jeff TT
  10. Why are you fitting it to the engine? much easier to fit it to the gearbox as you have to engage the inner gears of the convertor onto the gearbox shaft. Jeff TT
  11. Revolution sensor is fitted on the outside of the gearbox at the rear on the passenger side, quite high up though, the cable for it is part of the main loom from the gearbox to the three connectors on the drivers inner wing, you could test it from this point, worth checking the on line workshop manual electrical circuit section. Jeff TT
  12. Seem to be seeing more turbo gasket failures, seems odd as they often fail in the same way, and not due to loose nuts etc. I have a feeling that its more often with non standard gaskets the failures occur, pain in the butt to get to for a small gasket eh? Jeff TT
  13. Have a few associates who run general car garages and when I was at one the other day was surprised to see a 2 year old Fiesta having a new front road spring fitted, chatting with the foreman there he said they are getting them on a regular basis now, old and new, from Ford to Mercedes and speed safety reduction measures (speed bumps) are the prime suspect! now given a fair few of these cars are been driven with broken springs and often do get noticed until MOT time is the safety measure savings in potential accidents not been watered down by the increase risk of cars been driven unknowingly with the aforementioned damage...puts me in mind of a zed last month with a broken spring, not a standard one either but an Eibach unit, this is the third or forth one we have had in the past 6 months or so. Jeff TT Nissan 300zx Eibach spring
  14. Sure you have not switched it off via the isolation switch on the drivers side....common mistake. Jeff TT
  15. Nothing sinister, trouble with viewing via phone and panning left and right I guess sometime miss the gist of things. Jeff TT
  16. Just to ensure the OP to this and other threads gets the best advise wonder if you can answer these.
  17. An indicator of Summer hope from the countries z32 owners, mad changeover last Saturday of cars picked up and cars dropped off does make for serious parking planning!!! roll on the Summer eh? Jeff TT
  18. You bad boy!! not the first to ask though..:whistling:
  19. Not got the exact details yet but he was leaving the motorway on a long right hand curve....
  20. Yes they are the same, colour bumpers etc. although as his is left hand drive when we parked them along side each other they looked like mirror images.....well did. Jeff
  21. Got a mid morning call from my best mate, he had a moment on the M40 this morning going to work and despite been an ace driver could not stop the 180 spin into the barrier!!!!!!!!!!!! Good news he walked away unhurt, which is the most important, but his zed of 14 years ownership is looking less well, thank goodness for the barrier which stopped this been a very different outcome. Jeff TT
  22. Jinx...Same here. The reason for the original post was there has been a few enquiries about why the products were not sold here not to make any bad press for your product, you are doing that yourelf, its a real shame your products cannot be made available direct from yourself to retail customer.
  23. This was my real worry when we were trying to negotiate with them, the products look really good, but too risky. Jeff
  24. If anyone wondered why we were reluctant to continue working with the Twinz over their body kit designs last year, the last update on the Z1 site is a clear indicator why, pre-orders started in November 2012 and only this month (April 2013) more than 4 months later is there any hope of customers seeing the product, given the HUGE market for z32 stuff in the US it just would not work in the UK on that basis, they need to commit to manufacturing a stock level without pre-orders, imaging ordering your food from Tesco`s whilst they....grow it! or TV from ASDA while it is been manufactured with a 50% upfront deposit I bet there is a few nervous buyers waiting to see if Z1 is about to call them.....or not. Jeff TT "Pre Order TwinZ Design Z32 Front Lip for JDM Fascia The TwinZ Design Front Lip for JDM Fascia is now available for Pre Order!! Order now for the Pre Order price of $208. This Pre Order period will last from 11-23 12 until 1-23-13 ( UPDATE ) 2-14-13. The items should then be arriving at Z1 around the 1st of April. Choose from either of the designs below:"
