  1. Hi, it is a turbo manual actually as it happens!, seems a shame to break it but there's just too much welding needing done and i've lost heart with it!
  2. Ahh, ok, no unfortunately its not, i have the tinted slim panel with Turbo written on it.
  3. is it one with "turbo" written on it you're after? what is your current one like? I have both the 300zx one and Turbo ones, the latter came from a jdm import Z31
  4. Looks nice buddy! I love Z31's! and yours looks to be a good one!
  5. Nice to see a fellow Z31 enthusiast! was it for sale some time back?...i'm sure i spotted it on ebay, and did you have 2 others also?...i love Z31's i've got 2 but i'm considering breaking the early one, too much rust! :(, shame they're not a bit more appreciated! Ps, the wheels, are they Volk racing CE28n's? they suit it!
  6. I get the exact same comment from everyone regarding mine, like why when its an AMG, does the first thing need to be fuel consumption?, if you're asking that it's not the car for you!lol
  7. I'm pretty sure the rear centre light panel in that picture are specific to the 50th Anniversary model, and are pretty hard to come by!
  8. Have a set of hoses i bought quite a while ago i've never got around to fitting, and since changed my mind on colour scheme. Originally was £230ish for this set, but i'll offer them for £120 delivered, brand new never been fitted, were only removed from the packaging for the pictures. includes all that is pictured, thanks
  9. I kind of get the whole "stance" scene, some cars can look pretty cool with a bit of camber etc, as long as it drives safely, in my opinion. But this is just retarded, it must drive terribly! Surely buying a 300zx, you'd want to drive and enjoy it the way it was intended.....this video has actually P****d me off! haha
  10. This is an epic build! i'll be keeping my eye on this one :thumbup1:
  11. Very nice Car!, i like the look of the exhaust system, i'd like something similar on my Red one when it finally makes it back on the Road!
  12. for a 19" wheel they look MASSIVE! lol, nice style of wheel though!, and suits the car really well!
  13. for a self taught exercise thats some impressive work!, i like to do a lot of my car things myself, but i think when it comes to this, the patience is something I lack so i'd hand it over to the professionals!, but must say well done! looks really good :thumbup1:
  14. Have to say Gaz, the paintwork on your zed looks impeccable!
  15. Thanks!, yeh its actually pretty clean, luckily the previous owners garaged it most of its life, it has a couple of small blemishes on paintwork, and the outer sills had a couple of small patches welded in at some point either side at the rear of them, but it was just done and then painted over with stonechip, so when i first got the car i had a friend who is a welder cut it out, weld in better panels and treat it, and it was painted. so far it hasn't shown through again, it's only covered less than 1k miles in the time i've owned it mind you and it didn't ever go out in the wet
  16. thanks bud!, no its just a uk model 300ZX
  17. Well,Hi to all, its been several years since i was last on this forum, not because of the lack of Z love, but mainly time constraints with heavy work load etc, but now I'm finding time to get back to what i really enjoy! so i thought i would share some pics of my collection! My 1985 Z31 Turbo Manual, bought this 6 years ago, had a lot of fun in the summers in it over the years This is how she currently sits, finally getting round to doing some resto work!: My 1987 Z31 Turbo Manual, saved this one from underneath a tree it had been stood for 3 years :( the amount of mould/moss on this was unreal: Surprisingly good condition considering! after a treatment with TFR, a snow foam wash, polish, and light service- new Fuel, battery etc its running ok! and looking a bit happier!: And Finally my 1989 Z32 Twin turbo Manual, have had this for over 8 years about 3 years ago it blew the head gasket, so its currently sat in bits looking sorry for itself, but i will finish it! I'm determined, so just a picture of how i like to remember her!:
  18. i'd possibly take a look, might be after some wee bits for mine, could u tell me what colour it was?,it's a fair drive from forfar where i am,but suppose with these cars you have to travel! was gonna pm you for details, but appears i can't? cheers Ryan
  19. i'm a painter to trade, and i believe this to be very possible, more so on heavy metallic colours such as silvers/greys that contain alot of metalflake, apparently it's to do with how the metal flake lies on plastics compared to how it lies on a metal panel, it's possible that it can look ever so slightly a different shade, even if it is painted at the same time as everything else
  20. hayward and scott? heard they make some pretty amazing exhaust systems
  21. i'm 28, born Oct 1981 i currently drive an 05 Accord(Euro R replica) also 1985 z31 Turbo 1990 z32 UK manual twin turbo(currently off road due to engine bein knackered) 1994 Honda civic EG track beast 1987 Honda crx mk1(restoration project) and a 1990 Hilux Surf (workhorse)
  22. thanks dude! it came up for sale and i just coudn't pass it up, was a big trip, all way from scotland to plymouth to pick it up and drive her home! she served me well tho, 500+ miles without a hitch!, headlights on mine seem ok, they intermittently work, some sort of electrical problem with the raising and lowering of them they seem to flap up and down a few times before they stay up? any ideas what would cause that?
  23. Thought seeing as there are some other pics of Z31's here and i've never posted any of mine that i'd stick a couple up:
  24. little piece of advice, if your removing it run some masking tape around the handle before your remove and re-fit your new one, just incase your scratch the door, it can be quite tricky getting it out and last thing u want to do is have to paint or touch up things! hope this helps
  25. had a similar problem on a civic 1.8Vti also, was diagnosed as a dodgy slave cylinder!, don't think they're expensive so might be worth a try
