it's ever simple, it uses a reed relay so it's contact then no-comtact, use a 5V with a bulb and it should go on the off

I have been looking for the size of the spigot bearing on the web and can't find it, can someone tell me the size of OD, ID and width and I shall be doing a manual conversion and want to use a need roller bearing. Could someone measure one for me please?

zx6r are looking good these day's but a cbr600rr is more fun, it all depends on what your looking for..! power/comfort or just insain biking, i've had a zxr400 for the last ten year's but it allways lack power so i stuck a 2001 ZX6r engine. i know TTS do a super charge kit for the cbr600 which take the bhp to around 200, buy a cbr600 run it around and when you what more bhp bolt on a kit then hang on.....!

If you got a electric mirror unit, unsolder the plug inputs and push out three hollow shafts the top cover which holds down the two motors/gear box, cut the cover in two and trim unwanted off, now remove one of the white toothed rack with a small ball joint on the end, drill a small hole in the end for a rod/wire about 1mm, now place the motor/gear box and toothed rack together and a bit of tap the holed, now you have a small actuator, or you could use a boot release from a Ford fiesta which are one way movement with a spring return sum are up down and sum push up depending on year. I hope this would give you some idea on a low cost approach …!

iv'e used a a4 white papper for now but with a red or any other colour of your choice...!

on the back of the cruise control buttons there is three wires, white/pink, green and yellow, the yellow is also the horn wire. green is for set coast. white/pink is for resume accel and the cancel button as a diode to the green wire and another to the white/pink wire. to sum up three push button with one two diodes to the other ones.

On stripping down a Hp Scanner/printer i took out this part, it works on 12v and it works quite well...! Also i have been working on my steering wheel with cruise control and flappy paddles (that is three cruise buttons and two switches for the paddles...!)

The pressure plate is 240mm as well as the clutch but the flywheel and got a mark of 250mm? Is the TT pressure plate same size as the N/A / Flywheel?

I got a conversion kit from Dave C, and I’m going to fit tomorrow, but the clutch looks a bit small compared to the flywheel...! If it is a N/A clutch can I use it with my TT or do I need a TT clutch kit, also is the starter the same from an auto to manual N/A or TT as the only one I have is the auto one. Any help would most appreciated.

I need to identify the gearbox that I have, I don’t know if it an AN or TT manual box. Are there any identifying marks/ castings variations between the two? Is there a diameter defence on the bell housing, the one I have is supposed to be a TT but I have a bell housing from a NA and there are the same. Any help would be appreciated

take the hard disc out and plug it into another laptop...! for a pc. then save the information down to a disc/cd then reload onto another laptop.

Well i've hard at work...! I think i've got it all planed out so I'm just finnishing up the drawing so I can start making a mock up before I start the real thing. By iainknight i'll let you know how thing go when I get there...!

does anyone know the problem of the turbo failure, is it dew to over boosting or turbo over heating...!

thanks, i'm using imageshack to post the pics, it's a bit of pain to upload, anyway using a dog box will be the long term goal but for now i’m going stay with the old internals, it’s not imposable to change gears but the timing has to be spot on or a big bag comes to mind but as a long term project and also funds as the dog box is a few pounds a bit of saving would be called for.....! Or sale of used trim parts as most of its going to be stripped out and a roll cage put in.

I have not changed for dog set-up yet...!, i think quaife do a kit for the skyline which i’m looking to, all i have done is to get the selector fork(s) to work and i have a good idea for the selector/ increment unit to replace the gear lever with a lock out for the reverse gear.

Well all, i have 1/2 gear, 3/4 gear, 5/r gear all sorted out now, i have removed 8 separate parts to allow me go down the sequential root. I have a few ideas on how to get the gear box/gear lever to work but in main the gear box is done and can be bolted up...! for the last time...! i’ll try and upload some pic’s soon.

I planning to use a little black box with timing switch on mille seconds to cut the ignition and to blip the throttle at the right time with gear change also in mile seconds, I not planning to use the clutch but if the need is required I could use it to feather it a bit. The bike was in PB mag about August 2006, in the shed section and also I showed the bike at the Copdock bike show that year, right back to things in question.....! a dog box like a bike is smaller because of no synchromesh but with or without synchromesh you can go up and down the gears without the clutch, the thing is you have to get the rev’s just right or there would be a bit of a gridding noise....!, I shall only using the clutch in 1st gear to take up drive and the same in reverse, all other’s I’m going to use the clutch similar way you can on a bike, if any of you have bikes you would get what I’m getting at....!

It’s a nice bit of kit for a auto, but working on a manual with a shift cut up changes and a plip on down gear changes, the more gears the better it think...! you mite of seen some of my work in PB mag, A ZXR400 bike with a 600cc engine and a few other bits..! so a challenge is what i do for fun....!!! There is a another member in Haverhill (DEVIL) with a gearbox for sale and i live in Hadleigh near Sudbury so i could pick up with a trailer.!

i have I have been doing some research on FS5R30A/RS5R30A manual gearbox from Z31/Z32 Turbo; I have been working on converting from an H paten to a Sequential gearbox by removing the side of the box and removing the gear stick shaft and replacing with a sequential unit. I know it a bit mad but hay why not...! “Flappy paddle shift”.......! Right does anyone know the bell house bolt hole dimensions for above gearbox/ room under transmission tunnel, and does anyone have a gearbox which gears or bearings have gone which I could buy, if you can help please email me @ iain.knight@tesco.net :smash:
