  1. Is your connection MAC spesific? I dont do ASDL so I dont know too much about it. However cable, if you plug it into another computer it wont work until you register the computers MAC address.
  2. I used to be the only one round Wigan, but I know of 4 or so. I dont see them that often. However 3000GT/GTO are getting very common round here. I see one nearly every day.
  3. When I was going through the lakes for a drive the radio gave a warning that "Police road safty vans" where on a certain road. Road safty vans? Dont they mean a van parked on a layby behind a bush with speed cameras poking out of it.?
  4. Thats an old one :D
  5. £900? Will that includer the 5 discs for the raid?
  6. I dont think it was as bad as that picutre looks. I think the car has been moved round by its roof, bending it out of shape.
  7. Standard boost is 0.62 bar if I am correct. So 0.58 is actually a little low. Its not much but could be enough to show there is a leak. Start with the simplest things first. Like you said, tighten the clips around the engine. Does any one know if Vijay has any boost leak detectors left? The knock sensor works for any fuel you put in. The knock sensor is just a microphone and apparently you can wire it up so you can hear what it is reading. Never seen it happen but I have heard people say its possible. As for the catalyst and MOT in the UK, if the car is 1992 or older, we are allowed to remove the cats as long as it passes the emissions test. 93 and younger have to have cats on by law, and the emissions test is more strict.
  8. Well Im back and the verdict is !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! FAIL! On very little things mind you. I passed the emissions which was surprising. Failed on 3 things. Hazard lights where going off all the time. We worked it out to be my alarm going off, but it was on silent mode so the hazards just flash. Drivers headlight has too much moisture in to be able to test light pattern. So that is a 10 min job with a hair dryer. Slight brake fluid leak from the master cylinder/servo area. :( The only one I am worried about is the fluid leak. I am quite happy with the rest.
  9. Damn, I forgot that part. ;)
  10. Do you think it will pass? Considering its been off the road for over 9 months now.
  11. Well done Dave. My Z is in for its MOT tomorrow. DOnt think it will pass though, with 9 months being off the road its bound to have something that I have missed. For starters I think it will fail emissions.
  12. Is it a diabetic drug?
  13. I believe AdamR's girlfriend is a chemist. What is the "drug" that you are looking for? Its not a natural Viarga is it? ;)
  14. http://www.mkiv.com/main/index.html Take your pick
  15. Didnt the Sumo one blow its engine 2 years ago when it was very very hot?
  16. There was a very simalar one to that on MaxPower site a few years ago, but this one you had to put your email address in. After the initial car speeding joke, a few days later you get an email saying its from the London Police, saying that they have been watching internet traffic from your computer and they know you have downloaded illegal software and that they are coming to take your stuff away. There is a link to goto to confirm that you understand your "On line rights" where you are told its another joke.
  17. Not slow here I think you lot should have a job where I work. All they do is complain how slow the system is when we can feck all about it. ;)
  18. the meeting is at a place called Mascrat Manor. Its just off the M6, Junction 20, about half a mile into the 40mph zone for the viaduct. Leave the motorway and come to the roundabout. The pub is directly to your right so go all the way round the roundabout, untill you almost double back on yourself, and you are there.
  19. I saw the trailer a few weeks ago and I thought it looked terrible. Darth Vader looks like a little squirt in a padded suit. Hardly meanacing is it? If you remember the first two trailers, they looked good. Its all down to the power of editing ;)
  20. Hi, you from St. Helens (Spits), Im in Wigan (Cheers and eats a pie). Come down to the meeting in Warrington which is a general Japanese performance meeting. There is a large varity there for you to look at. :D Also just because a car is large doesnt meant that it is safe. Modern cars are so heavy now, due to the safe chassis design and extra strengthening. I bet a new MINI will take a hard it from the rear better than an older larger car like a Mondeo or something. Anyway, hope you can come down to Warrington on Monday 13th December. If you need directions just ask, it is very simple. :D I would take you out for a drive in my ZX but its just been rebuilt and can not be driven hard :(
  21. ask google. you can put things like "100MPH in kpm" Or "1000kg in Lb" You can also put mathamatic equations in like "3*4+(4\0.5)" and it will tell you.
  22. I think most garaged actually charge less for fitting if you buy from them. I bought 2 rear tyres which and fitted for just over £250. Mytyres.net where cheaper but add the charge for fitting and it would have been dearer. I know the local tyre shop I go to charge £6 for balance probably, £2 for valve, £2 for fitting and £1-2 to dispose of the old tyre. But I think they only charge £4-6 for fitting tyres you buy from them.
  23. Most places are not like that. If they are unwilling to put them on even though you didnt get it through them, they are not worth wasting the time on. I would say about £10-£15 per tyre including balancing.
