Thanks Shunter, Im in the T&G. They want these changes to go through as soon as possible, Ie in a few months. I said that could play into our hands as they want the changes now and the Union will drag things out to make sure its done correclty.

Unless the can have a setup where 1 person can fix several crashing computer systems at once from 6 thousand miles away, they can go for it. Plus betting is not an industry which will make do with a slower and poorer service. People will just phone another bookies. Its not like they are tied down to them like banks are. ;) They tried to put betting firms off shore but it didnt work. Its not the fact we are going 24 hours, we are not complaining about that. I am more worried about management TELLING us not to go to HR when HR should be the first department involved in contract changes. To the point when contacts in HR have told us they are not allowed to do that. I am worried the fact managers are demanding minutes of meetings which dont involve them. I dont ask for minutes for their meetings which they have every week.

Some one in our dep is very good friends with some one in HR, and they are shocked that we have been told that they dont want HR to be involved. Every one has signed up to the union at the meeting. So that will help.

Does any one know much about workers rights. Our department is going to go 24 hours soon. We have heard nothing officially through writing or via a department meeting, just things said to individual people. Our contracts are going to be changed but the management does not want HR to be involved and want it done quickly. Today our department had a meeting about what is going on. Basically we have only been given a job title and a provisonal time table to work with. A time table which will really effect our lives. Crappy hours and hours which will mean I wont see the misses for 4-5 days on the trot. The meeting only involved our department, but we where told by management that they wanted to see the minutes of the meeting the next day. Are management allowed to demand to see minutes? Stuart

Yep I have done driving in the Z when its snowed. Its very fun. One year the car would not get up the street because we live on a hill.

I personally think the best way to get this going, is one day, a few of us go to a track day together. Dont try to make it a Z only meeting straight away. The the word will spread on how good it was and more people will join to the next time a few of us get together for a track day. And then maybe, we can go for a Z track day when more people have experienced it.

There where 2 280Zs in Transformers. I think they may have been 3 infact.

My friend had a Lancia 1.6 turbo. I think that was about 180bhp, and that had trouble accelerating. Some cars are just made to create big HP numbers regardless the fact it will make the car perform worse in a race situation.

Platenum plug are spark plugs. Usually spark plugs are made from copper but the ZX uses Platenum tipped plugs to create a better spark. They cost about £8-£10 each though from Nissan. There is an engine by numbers on the FAQ section of the forum which points out many of the engine components. You are better trying to source a body shop yourself local to you if its only slight body repairs. There are very few Z specialist places. There is the Zcentre.co.uk in Nottingham and PPS way up north, but they are better used for installing body kits though.

its not impossible but that much power on a front wheel drive is useless. Or is it rear wheel drive? I dont think it is.

To be truthful, I dont think the CGI was that good years ago. Especially when put into a live scene. This is probably the best CGI I have seen in a live environment. It would be good if they start planning on making one now, but then you would have to decide. Would you have Optimus Prime in it or Ultra Magnus? Or even later, Roddimus Prime, formally known as Hot Rod. Then which baddy would you have. Megatron or Galvatron? Too many questions ;)

What pisses me off, some on at work was caught on a 30 limit road in the middle of the night doing 70mph. Yes there are no parked cars, and no houses within 200 yards of the road, but he was doing over twice the limit. He was complaining to me that he got pulled over, as it was the middle of the night, no cars etc, but he got let off with a warning. This person drives like a fecking nutter all the time. He will do 50 in a 30 zone in the middle of the afternoon and think nothing of it. But then one of use will creep over 34mph in a 30 zone and then get 3 points and £60 fine.
