  1. I actually miss having an engine to play around with in the garage. :( Are you replacing the cam seals? Is that just spilt oil on the cam wheels or is it leaking form there?
  2. I hope you are saying the same thing too mate. Its been a LOOOOONG time for you ;) Well worth the wait though :D
  3. If I havent, I wouldn't want to drive it with them on. I would kill myself I think.
  4. A strange but, a nice side effect is I can hear my turbos in the speakers of the car. Turn the radio off and you cant hear it, put it on and the back speakers whistle. LOL I quite like it ;)
  5. Done about 1000 miles on my new engine now and I have been pushing it some :D Took her for a fast drive tonight down the East Lancs where I couldnt floor it all the way becuase it is quite slippy out there. BUT OMG!!!!!!!!! I would say she is faster than she was when I was running 15psi and Im running standard 9psi at the moment. Cant wait to get the Boost Controller on and get a proper map done :D
  6. But O2 charge you for using their customer service
  7. I found this http://www.airconditioningforcars.co.uk/#r12after
  8. When I asked for quotes from a company in Bolton, they said about £70. It would be cheaper but that costs involves draining out the old fluid and disposal of it. The stuff they put in can just be used as a replacement.
  9. Is the hose for the turbo gauge still in? http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=26120 Look at the picture here on the link above. Number 23 is where the turbo hose should plug in. See if it is still in. Also can you do a ECU diagnostics? Instructions are found here. http://www.300zx.co.uk/cgi-bin/manual.cgi?list=efec&dir=&config=&refresh=&direction=forward&scale=0&cycle=off&slide=48&design=default&total=190 Use the arrows at the top of the page to navigate. Or press on the picture to go to the next page. Basically take up the carpet in the footwell floor of the front passenger seat. Unscrew the wooden panel. At the top of the left hand side of the ECU is a little screw. Screw it anti clockwise for, wait 2 secs and then screw it back. The engine check light will flash long flashes and then short flashes, before a few seconds gap and then it starts again. The long flashes are tens and short are units. So if you get 5 long ones and then 5 short, its a code 55. One long flash and then 3 short is 13. Do that and then get back to us with your findings.
  10. Get under the front of the car with a big socket and bar and tighten everything up. Most of the bolts are sized 17mm.
  11. Yep I would say its the temp sensors too.

Well I think you are insane, spending that much on a computer ;). Partley jealous but, I wouldnt use it to the full extent and would be a waste for me ;) I can see if I can get one of the 6 or 8 xeon servers from work if you want. I sure they wont notice one of them going missing ;)

Why did you get a dual Xeon? Are you gonna use it as a server? I cant think of any games which are able to use the ability of a dual processor setup.
  14. I have heard the first dozen Z32 where availible in 1988. If a car is released in late 80s it has been designed during at least the mid 80s, which to me makes it an 80s car.
  15. Why not get a people carrier instead of a Chelsea Tractor? ;)
  16. Have you reset your TPS? Your throttle cable may need adjusting.
  17. You can read what has happened here. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/south_asia/4125481.stm It is now estimated 9000 people are killed or missing. Makes you think, we can do nothing when nature starts to act.
  18. Standard pressure is 9psi You can push the turbos to about 13psi fairley safely but more than that the intercoolers are not good enough and the injectors struggling to supply enough fuel at higher revs greatly increasing the risk of detonation. With uprated intercoolers and injectors, you can probably togo about 15psi on stock turbos, but they start to become ineffective and dont create a good flow I believe.
  19. Go for the VR4. The Galants are HUGE with a HUGE boot. A good family car which you can have some fun in when on your own.
  20. What my tyres? Yeah the where the rears. Danny, they still do S02 on mytyres net. I went for S03 because of the limited sizes they do on the S02 now, they dont do the size I wanted on the fronts any more so I would have different tyres on the front than rear. Which is no big problem, buts its nice to ahve the same all round.

Some windows 98 CDs are bootable.
  22. You can still get them as Porsches and TVRs come with S02 tyres. They only make a few sizes, hence the ones I got where Porsche compound, they are made to go on new Porsches
  23. Why should it be hitting 13psi? What boost controller do you have? Is it set up correctly?

You could ghost your PC image onto your laptop. However then all the sound drivers, graphics drivers wont work. It will install new stuff onto the Laptop but it causes more conflicts that its worth. It would be better to just start the Laptop from fresh and transfere the data from the PC to the laptop.
  25. I have had Kumho Exacta, Hard as nails not suitable for a Z Falken FK451, Good medium priced tyre. Goodrich Profiler About same performance as Falken FK451 but last longer. Slightly more expensive Bridgestone ER-30 Actually classed as a touring tyre. About the same grip as the Falken but last significently longer. More expensive though. Bridgestone S02 FANTASTIC :D Very expensive, but only lasted 8000 miles :(. They where the extra soft Porsche compound Bridgestone S03. Nearly as good as the S02 but they will last for nearly twice as long. These are my findings. A lot of people on here use Goodyear Eagle F1s
