  1. I think they are trying for the Testarossa look.
  2. After the last eclispe in the UK William Hill offered odds of 1/2 that the would be another ecluipse in the UK. Well of course there will be another one but they thought they would have money in their bank for 99 years in a high interest account untill the next eclipse. You think you will get a good deal as you can not lose, but you will most probably be dead by then, the company could have gone bust, the amount would have deminished etc. However some one took them to court saying we wanted his winnings. Will Hill said that there needs to be an eclipse in the Uk for it to pay out. But the bet was WILL there be another eclipse. Ther person just got information on the exact date when the next eclipse in the UK and location, as they already know this. They where forced to pay out.
  3. But does the fact its blue make it work better.
  4. But that was because he was passionate about the cause. He later appoligised for doing it. These people are swearing for the sake of it.
  5. From stoke isn't he?
  6. It be truthful I thought that the parts I have seen have been poor. it doesnt seem special. Its just any other open air concert ther has been. Litening to the line up the German on has had, I would have rather listened to thiers concert.
  7. Where have you got this information from? You mean my Z has been on a rolling road at redline in 5th (186mph) for an hour? Personally I dont see how the engine could take that abuse.!
  8. I love it when people post power figures, especially when they are none standard power levels. Some one should ask the if they have a dyno run print out they can show to proove the power.
  9. First day I got my car I was on a dual carrage way which has a few traffic lights along it. I had 2 friends in there when porsche 911 Carera (or how ever you spell it) pulled along side and started to rev his engine. At the green light I floored it and so did he and I shot past him. I couldnt stop laughing. My car was totally stock at the time
  10. To be truthful I think I actually did a hard pull off in 1st 2nd and most of 3rd when the engine only had 400 miles on it I think. Its true what he says about the rings though. You are basically rubbing the rings down to the same shape as the bore.
  11. You will be waiting for a while as manuals are not common and SWB are even less common, but they are out there. But in the mean time go look at some 2+2 so you will get an idea of what you are looking out for. Good luck with the search.
  12. Stay with 15º. It is that for a reason. Putting it to 25º should make it more powerful but you are a lot higher risk of causing engine damage. Personally I think changing the timing should only be done if you really know what you are doing and if your car is modified more that what yours is. Even so, I would only expect changes of 3-4º not 10º
  13. Very nice car. :D A few people went to Belgium a week ago to meet with some European Z friends. Are there many 300ZX in France?
  14. When I was runing in my engine I searched the internet quite a lot. You are meant to take it easy on the engine but being too easy for too long makes it worse. I read an article on the net where a person let his mechanic drive his car while it only had 500 miles on it. The owner was quite surprised then the mechanic floored it to about 4000 rpm and let off. All the time this person was never going over 2000rpm. As more miles get on the engine the more you can floor it. I spoke to the engineer who bored the block and I asked him if 3000 miles run in was enough. He shook his head and said 2000miles. If its not worn in by 2000 miles its not going to. I started accelerating half throttle to about 4000-4500 after about 500-600 miles. Seems to have worked. :D

A gas conversion will cost you £1000-£1500 to have done. The car will be quite a bit heavier and gas causes 10%-15% reduction in power and a 10%-15% drop in MPG. So you would have a car doing 14-16mpg around town and 18-22mpg on a run. I suggest you get a diesel run around for £1500 and use that. You will save on fuel as they do a lot more than 18mpg
  17. The offer of Chucks offer of "I'll stick this crutch up your arse" seemed to good to pass on.
  18. This happened when one of my main beam lights blew. Check your fuses and check the main beam bulbs too.
  19. Eating certain types of fatty foods can cause stones too. Most of them can be blasted to a size small enough to "Pass" through. More like "Scrape" I remember watching a great new invention on tomorrows world about it. LOL
  20. If you try the US you can get them glow with flames on. Is that what you are after?
  21. So its doesnt include the all the Fairladys then.
  22. No the standard autobox can only take 400bhp(ish). The stock cluch can only take 380ish but the actual box is good for 600+bhp
