  1. 300zx also use the same battery as a Diablo too :D And a Ferrari F40 :D
  2. And the fact there is an intercooler and its a NA, and there is an air vent which is also a TT thing. Look at the interior, the door is open but you cant see anything.
  3. If you are doing quotes online, if the option for Import is not there select Nissan Fairlady, as that is what it is called in Japan. There have been a few on here who insure it as a 300ZX thinking no different to have policies canceled on them because the insurnace found out its an import. Luckly no one had, had an accident at the time. I wouldnt like an insurnace company cancel my poilicy when I have an accident.
  4. NIce one. Yes it is annoying not picking where the air goes. Many a time I have been freezing and the air con insists that keeping the window warm is more important than frost bitten fingers.
  5. They may have changed the venting, ducting and circuts etc. The chambers may be the same, but there may be extra motors in there, or extra sensors. The ECU also controls the aircon a little, is this the same?
  6. Series 1 is automatic, it decides where to blow the air. On the display you have an ambient temperature and set temperature. Series 2 you can set where the air flow goes. On the display is a picture of the drivers seat and arrows where the air will flow. You can select where it goes. There is no ambient temperature displayed though.
  7. I doubt it's just the display that is different. The way it works is probably different too. For starters the air con will have to have the ability to be told where do direct the flow. This will not be done in the control panel but in the control amp. You may be able to change the control amp but the wireing and setup of series 1 and 2 will have to be exactly the same and I dont know if they are. its a bit like saying a 1994 and 1995 engine are the same, when they look the same and so the same job, but there are many many differences.
  8. my uncle got diabetes most probably brought on by his weight and diet. He lost about 8 stone very quickly and virtually all due to a good diet.
  9. But all you eat is take-a-ways Im lead to believe ;)

Unlucky mate. While my engine is out I am making sure EVERY hose is replaced. Half got done last time, and now the rest are getting done now.

    HOw old are you Gaz?
  12. There is no such thing as a UK NA. ALL UK are T-Top 2+2 Twin Turbo. Imports are more expensive to insure than UK, even the NA.
  13. I agree, infact I have not seen any veilside product I like.

Welcome, First Auto and Manual have so close the same performance its not worth worrying about. They can be converted but its not cheap. Around the £1000 mark I think. MPG is a killer. Expect 16-18 around town and 25 on the motorway. You will never know what 16-18mpg REALLY means until you have a car which does that. It equals roughly a full £50 tank of fuel lasting just over 200 miles round town. Other insurance companies to try are A-Plan, Insurance Factory and Firebond. Im quite local if you need any help.
  15. It looks like the classic, got to close to the kirb damage
  16. Thats a lot of effort, you better get laid for all that work. ;)
  17. This is what I was trying to say. If it misfires, it could be MAS if nothing happens, whether the TPS or even the throttle cable is installed
  18. Brake fluid is low?
  19. Nope I am pretty sure it has to be insured by the registered keeper of the car for you to be able to use it.
  20. Nope gearbox does not govern the engine revs. You still have not said what happens when you press the accelerator. Have you tried reving the engine by pulling the throttle bodies?
  21. What happens when you put the foot to the floor? Does it misfire or just nothing happenes? Nope. You sure you have the throttle cable connected? Its not got connected to the wrong body has it? Ie the cruse control and throttle are not the wrong way round?
  22. Oil pressure unit is probably buggered. They are bad at the best of times. Over time they dont read low oil pressures. The Nissan book says you should test oil pressure while driving at 3000rpm. I think it should be between 63-75 psi @3000rpm
  23. They also share the same part number :D
  24. Boost Jets are basically welding tips placed in the actuator hose which comes off the turbo hose. This tricks the actuator into thinking that there is less pressure so it doesnt open as soon, thus increasing the turbo pressure. JWT chip removes the speed limit, and also rises the rev limit a little too. It basically changes the fuel map to allow higher boost pressure.
  25. However these official ones put conversions to shame.
