1. I know this subject has come up before, and I know we have some very keen collectors amongst us ;) Well I've decided to start my own little collection off again, as I've posted before I own a small collection of 300ZX's in various sizes. Following on from my 'Old Reg Plate Checking' thread the other day, I've decided to collect models of some of my fave old cars, which are..... I first noticed that Corgi had released a special of the Ford Capri 2.8i, complete with a special Haynes history book. This just happens to be the same colour as mine, so managed to obtain one off eBay.... My old XR4i, although mine was Black you can only buy a Red one.... And my current Alfa Romeo 156, although again mine isnt Red and I have the high level rear spoiler.... All of those are in the same scale, which is 1:43 which matches my Silver 300ZX. Saying that, I've just spent a bit more money that I really shouldn't have  on this........ (sorry for the large picture)... It's a special limited edition of the 1981 Ford Capri 2.8i in the same colour as mine was and in 1:18 scale. It's limited run was 1000 only, and is almost impossible to find any for sale. Well you've got to treat yourself sometime ;)
2. For all you fans of Big Bang.........
3. There was a rolling cut-off point, but the government stopped that, cant remember the year though
4. Yep, Isle of Man registered plates
5. Thinking about it, I had mine before I bought Eliza
6. The black box on the rear light is your lights out detection unit. It detects when a bulb has blown and illuminates a light on your dash.... unless someone has removed the bulb behind the dash!! ;)
7. Yeah it's illegal. The car must be registered pre 1971 (I think is the right date) Other than that it must be a standard retro-reflective yellow with standard black font
8. Why, where the hell did you put them??
9. Sorry about that, updated link now :1eye:
10. ...Unlike mine... I ended up with Jack!!!!
11. Nice wheels!!! :cool3:
12. Same problem I had,but at least I could remember the important ones :D
13. It's the DVLA site, here>> http://www.taxdisc.direct.gov.uk/EvlPortalApp/ Then click on the Vehicle Enquiry tab on the left
14. I've been doing some checking on some of my old cars to see if they are still in existence. Well it was interesting, if not obvious in some cases. Honda Civic, SDC 244R, I bought her in 1988, and part-ex'd her the same year. Her last date of liability was September 1989 (not surprised really!!) My first Capri 2.8, LVP 48X has not been taxed since February 1997, think I sold her around '92. Nice to see she survived for a few years. My 1983 Sierra XR4i, NTL 350Y, which I had from 1994 until 2000 is still in existence. Currently on a SORN, valid until Feb 2012. So I assume the current owner still loves her :D And finally, FLZ 2300 which some of you will know was Eliza, well it seems that the plate hasn't been transferred as of yet as it's still associated to a Red 3.0Ltr Nissan manufactured in 1992! Well that whiled away a few minutes tonight ;)
15. Just a thought here, but isnt that the same Chameleon paint that was optional on Nissan Primera's in the 90's????
16. Yep, that's the one I was thinking about. Obviously not the same one, but the same colour :D
17. I don't think it is ZedWorld, as he states about being magazine featured! Secondly I'm sure that was in the background of someones pictures posted on here over the weekend.... can't remember who's now though
18. I know this is an old post, but I've just come across this video. Similar thing, but with cars instead...Oh yeah, and a different ending!!......
19. Just make sure the doors are locked and your wheels have locking nuts on in that area of Lincoln bud!! Very, very dodgy!
20. ...
21. What I'd do in your position is keep the TT and give the N/A to me. Although I'd much prefer the TT, I'm sure I could live with a 99 spec N/A
